Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Sanders.
Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My career in social media marketing really began with an unexpected turning point. After being laid off from my role as a Social Media Specialist, I had a choice: start over or bet on myself. I chose the second option.
What began as freelance social media management quickly grew into opportunities to work with seven- and eight-figure entrepreneurs, YouTubers, podcasters, business coaches, and finance creators. Those early experiences taught me how to adapt my marketing approach across different industries while building my business almost entirely through relationships. Networking became one of the biggest catalysts in my career. Every event, coffee meeting, and introduction opened another door.
Eventually, I relocated to Houston, where my career expanded even further. I joined a marketing agency that gave me the opportunity to work with hotels, restaurants, and more. One of my favorite experiences was leading creative production for a four-day hotel campaign in Iowa. It was my first time directing a project of that scale for a hotel, and it confirmed that I loved not just creating content, but helping shape the creative vision behind it.
Around that same time, AI began transforming the marketing industry. Like many creatives, I initially wondered what it would mean for the future of our work. Instead of resisting it, I decided to learn everything I could. I immersed myself in webinars, industry events, and conferences like AfroTech, eventually earning a certification in AI Prompt Engineering through Vanderbilt University. That experience completely shifted my perspective. I realized AI wasn’t replacing creativity—it was amplifying it.
Today, I combine traditional marketing strategy with AI-powered workflows to help create content more efficiently, build scalable systems, and stay ahead of an industry that’s evolving faster than ever. Whether I’m managing social media for brands, working in influencer marketing, or teaching creators how to integrate AI into their content strategy, my goal is always the same: to help people work smarter without losing the human creativity that makes great marketing memorable.
That passion ultimately inspired me to create AI Social Media Brand. I believe AI is one of the biggest shifts our industry has ever experienced, but I also know there are still so many marketers, creators, and business owners who aren’t sure where to start. My goal is to become a trusted resource—a corner of the internet where people can learn about AI without feeling overwhelmed. I want to make emerging technology approachable, practical, and immediately useful, helping people confidently integrate AI into their creative workflows instead of feeling like they’re falling behind.
Looking back, every stage of my journey—from freelancing after a layoff to working with agencies, healthcare brands, luxury hospitality, and now AI—has reinforced one lesson: growth comes from being willing to evolve. The marketing industry will continue to change, and I hope to help others embrace that change with curiosity and confidence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been working in an industry that never really stands still. Social media evolves constantly, platform algorithms change overnight, and AI tools seem to introduce new capabilities every week. There isn’t a point where you can learn everything and feel “caught up.”
Early on, that pace felt overwhelming. I used to be someone who resisted change because I wanted certainty. But working in marketing—and especially in AI—has taught me that adaptability is one of the most valuable skills you can have. I’ve had to shift my mindset from fearing change to expecting it. Now, instead of seeing new technology or platform updates as obstacles, I see them as opportunities to learn and improve.
Another challenge has been learning to create boundaries in an industry that never really turns off. Social media and AI operate 24/7, and there will always be another update, another trend, or another tool to explore. I had to realize that staying informed doesn’t mean being online all the time. Sustainable growth comes from balancing curiosity with rest, because creativity requires both.
Looking back, those challenges have made me a better marketer and a better problem solver. They’ve taught me to stay curious, embrace change, and trust that I don’t have to know everything—I just have to be willing to keep learning.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Senior Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Coordinator who specializes in helping brands and creators build meaningful online communities through strategic content, storytelling, and AI-powered marketing. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a wide range of industries—from finance, real estate, and business education to healthcare, hospitality, nonprofits, and creator-led brands. I love that every industry has a different story to tell, and my job is helping people communicate their expertise in a way that builds trust, connects with audiences, and drives growth.
One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is helping multiple brands and creators grow their social media communities to more than 100,000 followers. While growth is exciting, what I’m most proud of is the impact behind those numbers. I’ve watched creators build businesses, professionals establish themselves as thought leaders, and organizations reach audiences they never thought possible because they learned how to communicate their value more effectively online.
I also genuinely enjoy helping other people succeed. Whether that’s connecting creators with new opportunities through influencer marketing or helping clients feel more confident on camera, I love being part of someone else’s growth story. Some of my favorite moments happen behind the scenes—watching someone who was initially nervous about creating content become comfortable sharing their expertise with the world.
I think what sets me apart is that I approach social media with empathy before strategy. Not everyone wants a camera in their face all day, and not every business has unlimited time to create content. I meet people where they are. Sometimes that means building systems that fit into a busy schedule, creating scripts that make filming easier, or simply helping someone gain the confidence to press record. Great content starts with making people feel comfortable enough to be themselves.
Another perspective that has shaped my career is that I don’t just work in social media—I experience it from multiple angles. I’m a marketer, an influencer marketing professional, and a content creator myself. That allows me to understand the priorities of brands, the realities creators face, and the expectations of audiences. I can see the bigger picture and build strategies that work for everyone involved.
More recently, I’ve leaned heavily into AI because I believe it’s transforming the future of marketing. Instead of seeing AI as something to fear, I chose to learn it, embrace it, and integrate it into my work. Today, I help businesses and creators use AI to streamline workflows, develop stronger content systems, and spend more time on creativity instead of repetitive tasks.
Right now, I’m especially proud of building AI Social Media Brand. It’s a reflection of where I believe the industry is headed and the kind of impact I want to make. My goal isn’t just to teach people about AI—it’s to become a trusted resource for marketers, creators, and business owners who want to confidently navigate this new era of technology. I want to help people see AI not as a replacement for creativity, but as a tool that empowers them to communicate their expertise, work more efficiently, and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital world.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is traveling with my family. My mom worked in the travel industry, so I had the opportunity to visit different places and experience new cultures, languages, and perspectives from a young age. Those experiences sparked a curiosity that has stayed with me throughout my life.
I think travel taught me to appreciate how every place and every person has a unique story to tell, and that mindset naturally carried over into my career in marketing. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy working with brands across different industries—especially in hospitality and travel—because I love helping tell stories that inspire people to connect, explore, and experience something new.
Even today, travel continues to be one of my biggest passions. It’s something that keeps me inspired creatively and constantly reminds me to stay curious about the world around me.
