Today we’d like to introduce you to TeeKay Oladipo.

TeeKay, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
3Teeshawarma started as a result of my passion for cooking. The business aspect of 3tees started with a $100 investment as well as a panini press gift from a friend. Thanks to my great friends as well as social media, the business grew to what it is today. We serve an Afro Mediterranean cuisine that caters for a clientele with a spicy palate.

We started with our first storefront in Houston on March 3rd, 2018 and we aim to expand our brand as well as create more cuisine options.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has really not been smooth but God has been faithful all the way. The storefront was supposed to have been opened March 2017 but it took us a year to finally have it opened due to hiccups in construction as well as approvals from the City of Houston and other setbacks.

3teeshawarma – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
While our shawarma is said to be the STAR of the show, our line up of savory Afro-Mediterranean products are not to be left behind. Tales of our beef skewers, chicken pepper soup, goat meat pepper soup, chapman, etc. are told around Houston.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The day we opened the 1st storefront!
