Today we’d like to introduce you to Tessy Windle.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name is Tessy Windle, founding event artist and principle of the company Artistic Celebrations. I always had a knack for artistry and portrayed it in my corporate posts and during in my career as a teacher for grades 4-12. Because of it, I started the company with a focus on children’s events, most specifically birthday parties and baby showers. Soon after, I noted my niche for fusing a family oriented style with that of a corporate measure. With that and learned experiences, I immediately pivoted my attention to festivals, expos and fairs where I discovered my individual style and practice. I currently work logistics for municipal events, manage educational workshops and fundraisers for non-profit organizations, produce and develop corporate marketing and promotional events and serve private clients as well!
My unrelenting faith in GOD, family and community is what affords me the vision and commitment necessary to personally serve with Artistic Celebrations. My time is spent drafting schedules for both clients and home! I am a devoted wife, a loving mother to three precious souls and volunteer with several civic organizations. Wearing many hats allows me the opportunity to make great relationships. I always ask my clients to share with me the five words that best describe them so I want share mine with you. The five words that immediately come to mind that describe me are dedicated, creative, bold, committed and nurturing.
Has it been a smooth road?
I collect pencils! Why? Pencils are a reminder to me that life will always be filled with challenges. Along our journey, these encounters will lead to failures and others will turn out okay. In the end, challenges allow for growth, both personally and as a business owner.
I have followed my passion to do events for 16 years. My biggest struggle was having the confidence to step out on faith and do the business full-time. In 2013, I made that leap! Since then, Artistic Celebrations has been a roller coaster ride of ups and down, as every other business. We have made and lost connections, had months of slow revenue and struggled with learning the ins and outs of running a business.
Today, I can confidently say that Artistic Celebrations has conquered every struggle faced. Our success is proven in the ability to serve big name clients in such a short amount of time.
