Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Glenn, Jr.
Thomas, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story began in the public housing complexes of Galveston, Texas. From the time I was eight years of age, reading my grandmothers encyclopedias, I knew I was going to work in politics advising Congressmen and U.S. Senators in Washington, D.C. and one day become a lawyer.
While I didn’t get a chance to work for a Congressman or U.S. Senator, I did get to work with several Texas State Representatives, Lieutenant Governor, The Attorney General, and Comptroller. It was during my time working for the Texas Lieutenant Governor, I realized I was not going to continue to get the professional opportunities that I thought I had earned, so I finally decided to go to law school. In between the law school journey, I became a father.
My wife and I raised our son while I worked during the day and taking law school classes at night while she worked during the day and completed her MBA classes on the weekend. After the long journey, I was blessed to pass the Maryland and Texas bar exams the first time around. I practice in estate planning and probate, real estate, and business transactional.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I’ve been passed over for many professional opportunities over the years that I know I was well qualified for. I had several fits and starts during law school, which took me longer to graduate than I initially had planned. Just like many others, I was laid off from a job at the height of the Great Recession.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Glenn Law Firm – what should we know?

Perseverance is key! My clients love the fact that I take the time to teach and explain the issues that they face and my personable ability to give solutions to those issues. And, it doesn’t hurt that I am a known stickler for time, which started as a big deal for me well before I became a lawyer. I don’t believe in wasting any one’s time when they hire me to be their attorney.
