Today we’d like to introduce you to Thushara Mathew
Thushara , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew Up in Missouri city Tx, then later on moved all throughout houston. Growing up, i went through a lot of different environments, and developed an influence from so many different places. My parents moved here from India, and my father became a cowboy, who lived in a ranch so a good part of my life i lived At the ranch riding horses growing up, living the ranch life. My mother was a nursing professor who always pushed me to do nursing school. When i graduated high school i started My nursing career only to find out that it was not what I wanted to do as i developed A deep love for modeling, music, and creating. I started Writing music at a young age and decided to follow my musical passion as I’ve managed artists in the past and learned a lot about the industry. During my early 20s I’ve modeled and walked for LA fashion week as well as NEWYORK fashion week and have been in many commercials and companies in stores like ulta, Dillards, and so on. As i grew Into my passion of making music whenever i was Down, or going through something i realized Music moved me in a way that nothing else could, so i began To invest into myself and started releasing music on Apple and Spotify. My relationship with God is by far the most important thing to me so i have Gotten to the point where i would Like to be used as a vessel by God through my art, music, and creativity. I also started my own christian podcast called ” the bloom and bee podcast ” which is on Apple, Spotify and youtube in which I help guide people into a better them. Though the sky is the limit, and I’m continually chasing after new ideas, passions and discovering more I’m on a mission to spread light and peace through whatever i do.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing about life is ever smooth, but gratitude is the key for maintaining peace. My mother always used to tell me ” count your blessings one by one” because only then will you realize how blessed you are, and realize you have over 100 things to be happy about. Shifting so many different households, schools, churches, and neighborhoods almost every year since a kid made me gain and lose people quick because i was so used to getting torn apart from people i grew Close with but now it is Molded me into social settings being able to adapt anywhere i go. I would say throughout all the rocky roads it is god who has given me strength to endure those bumps throughout my journey. A lot of my struggles were my relationships, toxic households, no support system, and being someone who everyone depended on while i was Still figuring life out. I put A lot of people first before myself which put me back, while now i am focused on my betterment and my own stability before pouring into anyone else
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an artist, and what i love About my music is that it’s not meant to be anything outside of realness. All my music is emotions I’ve felt and dealt with. I turn my pain into art, so that i can Turn a negative into a positive and you can feel that through my recent album / music. What sets me apart is that I’m not afraid to be different or to be disliked, i just Want to be raw, authentic and true to myself and God.
I also have a group called ” scheme roadz” which is a group of guys that have became my big brothers throughout my music journey and we all make music together and create. We are building our own label from scratch as a family of people who just want to inspire.
How do you think about happiness?
God, family, unity. What makes me happy is knowing i have Friends and family that will uplift me and keep my spirits high during the worst times of my life. Friendship and relationships are one of the most valuable things in the world aside from stability. I value Quality time, memories, and adventures as life is short and it is Easy to get caught up in the systematic way of things but it is Important to live everyday to the fullest!
