Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffani Price, Bridgette Wright and Charity Wright.
Tiffani, Bridgette, Charity, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My mother, Bridgette and I started Love Birds Vintage, a full-service event planning and bespoke rentals firm, in February of 2015 after years of designing weddings and events in Southeast Texas. My mother’s love for antiques paired really well with my own love of floral design and entertaining and in June of 2016, we opened our showroom in Montgomery. Since then, our work has been featured on The Knot, Modern Luxury Weddings Houston and Dallas, Bliss Bridal Magazine, Austin Wedding Day Magazine, all of the major wedding blogs and we were even invited to design a venue reveal for an episode of Harp Design Company’s TV show Woodwork on DIY Network. In May of 2017, our team expanded as my sister-in-law Charity joined us as an associate planner. We truly are a family centered business in every sense. My husband Keith builds our custom architectural backdrops and my father, Bill helps source materials and furnishings from all over the country.
Along with curating Houston’s largest inventory of bespoke and one of a kind furnishing, we pride ourselves on being a truly marriage-centric event planning firm. I fell in love with my husband when we were just 15 and 16 years old – 20 years ago this coming May. He is my heart and my soulmate and my very best friend. Through our own love for each other, and years of dedicating ourselves to the health and wellness of our own marriages (Mom and Dad have been married 40 years in June!), we have learned how to help other couples see past the event and the stress and the anxiety of wedding planning and to appreciate the magnitude of the commitment they are preparing to make to each other. We believe in the beauty of marriage and it’s our goal to help couples plan more than just a wedding. We want to walk with them as they begin their lives together. Our motto at Love Birds is “Weddings are great, but marriage is better.” We truly and genuinely believe that and do our best to share our own stories with our clients to help them walk into their marriage with the firmest foundation possible.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have been truly blessed since Love Birds was founded in 2015. We’ve been featured in all the major blogs, in print magazines and on television in the two years since we opened our showroom. Of course, it’s been hard at times, but our family does everything together. This has been an amazing extension of our love for each other and our dedication to marriage and family. We are truly blessed.
Please tell us about Love Birds Vintage.
Love Birds is a boutique event planning firm and rentals company that specializes in one-of-a-kind architectural backdrops, furnishings and decor. We source our architectural backdrops from churches and buildings all over the country, and carry linens by Nuage Designs, a couture linen company based in Miami. We custom build backdrops for brides who are looking for a specific item that they might not be able to find anywhere else.
I am so proud of how far we have come in the last two years. We don’t just plan weddings, we build relationships. We get to know our clients and their families and they truly become our friends. We invest in them and their relationships as much as we invest in the look and feel of their events. I feel like the personal attention we give our couples and their families is reflected in each and every event we design. Giving them access to our huge inventory also helps us create truly one-of-a-kind events with character, charm and personality that can be lost in the run-of-the-mill wedding industry.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Omgsh! My favorite memory? Probably touring castles in Scotland with my mom and dad and brothers or exploring some hole-in-the-wall antique shop in the Hill Country. No matter what we were doing, we were always doing it together. I was blessed with a very happy childhood. Antiques, collectibles, and an inherent appreciation for the stories and history of those who came before us has always been a huge part of our lives. We also make time to eat dinner together every evening – Mimi and Pop, me, Keith and all of the kids. Caleb and Charity even join us a few times per week. Family is important to us and we make the time to sit and connect with each other every single day. It might be take-out, but we eat together. We have done it all my life.
