Meet Tiffany Bryant of Time Out Staffing Agency in Heights

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Bryant.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Born and raised in the small town of Bellville, Texas. I knew of only two things I wanted to do and that was being a teacher and doing photography so I took a leap of faith and moved to Houston with no job, no plan, no money only an admissions letter and dedication, never did I imagine how hard but fun that would be.

I worked as a part-time office assistant and took my camera everywhere, every lunch break and moment I had to practice my craft I would because I didn’t have any clients in Houston, which changed quickly after I began my teaching career that I loved so much. The support I had from my classroom parents was unbelievable. I quickly began doing family portraits for some of the students until one day I babysat a date night. After the class got the announcement “Ms.Tiffany came to my house this weekend,” I was soon booked every weekend not for photography but for babysitting. I quickly started to drift from photography because my schedule was so full. After teaching four years of preschool I decided to accepted a second grade position and quickly lost myself with my passion I never made time for my photography, I was unhappy and no longer wanted to teach so I quit, having no idea what was next I just accepted every photography gig and babysitting gig I could until I realized that’s what I truly enjoyed.

I started nannying and doing my photography full-time. I was rewarded a clientele that is unthought of all by word of mouth. My families range from celebrities, CEO’s, attorneys, athletes, doctors to stay at home moms. I found myself doing drop-off, pick-up, tutoring, taking kids to extra-curricular activities, and assisted on vacations. I remember having a time watching the news seeing a family speak about a nanny hurting their child, and it absolutely broke my heart and opened my eyes to start a platform where parents can get dedicated trustworthy nannies and babysitters with no worries. I thought about doing it all the time but this moment was different, the next day I started TOSA (Time Out Staffing Agency)!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would love to say I wish it was smooth but I’m truly glad it wasn’t. Having an unstable income was a struggle but I remember one of my toughest times being when my camera was stolen, in a blink of an eye I was out of work I was in a place that wanted to give up on photography and go back to teaching with a stable income but with great people in my corner that believed in me that wasn’t an option. I kept pushing and I realized it’s okay to break but never quit something you truly love. Managing multiple businesses isn’t easy but every moment is worth it.

I am the owner of Tiffany Renee Photography which I shoot a wide range of photography but specialize in Lifestyle and Branding Photography. I love making people feel comfortable and free while capturing the moment.

I am also the founder of Time Out Staffing Agency which is an assistance agency for active families. With time we have became one of the top agencies in Houston thanks to the wonderful position our clients are able to offer. We offer a wide range of services like babysitting. Corporate back-up, event care and so much more. We understand that life happens and we want to be there to have our families covered by any means. We believe that parents deserve time out, whether its a night out with friends or a weekend getaway. We take the stress away by providing assistance from the top sitters of Houston that we have handpicked, screened and trained.

Being in the classroom educating is something I loved but wasn’t fitting for my photography life as well as being a nanny which was much more rewarding to me. As the founder of TOSA, I wanted a safe platform not only for families but also other entrepreneurs like myself. TOSA’s team are all experienced educators and nannies that are also small business owners. I remember how important it was for me not to lose focus of my dreams but also continue the love I have for educating and being with children.

I believe that our commitment to providing the best sitters is what sets us apart from others, with our white-glove approach while interviewing every sitter we are able to provide families with top sitters giving them a peace of mind while we do all the work.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are planning our first nanny seminar Fall of 2019 which we will host CPR certifications for the upcoming year and lots of great nannying tips. We are looking to adding Transportation to our services January 2020.
