Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Gordon.
Hi Tiffany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Tiff Michelle Kollections with the adoration of my own name. I struggled for a little while trying to figure out how to stand out from everyone else, but yet have a catchy name that would make people want to know who I am and also about my business and what it stands for. I specifically wanted a name that I could also tie everything together that I love to do and create into one piece. Then a lightbulb went off one day and I was like “use your own name” and just add Kollections at the end! And that’s how my business began! Believe it or not, I started off as an Educator and I was strictly just selling mink eyelash boxes, in which I started that business back in 2019. Then, the pandemic hit and everything went virtual! I was teaching virtually and had a lot of time to pour into myself and brainstorm on what I really wanted to do. It was the question of, do I want to teach forever or do I want to do what I know I have been set forth to do and become a full time business owner. I did a tug of war for awhile between the two because my heart has always been in Education and it was very hard leaving what you feel is your comfort zone. But, one day I made the decision to trust God and step out on faith and I resigned from teaching and became a full time business owner. I must say, it has been one of the BEST decisions I have made in my life! Although I miss teaching, here I am 3 years later with a flourishing business that I have added so many more products too under my name!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not at all smooth. One thing I’ve learned from being a business owner is this field of work definitely has its challenges. I have days when everything is running very smoothly and I have really great days. But then, it’s those days when I question myself like Tiffany are you sure you want to continue doing this? That’s when my daily affirmations comes in and I speak positivity into myself as well as my business and I take each day head on. I find myself struggling a lot with perfection! When in actuality, there’s no such thing as being perfect, If we were all perfect in all the days of our lives then what are we exactly living for? I live by, “wearing the cape isn’t easy, even superheroes get tired!” But they still fight on! I have learned it’s all about how we use life’s challenges to apply it where it’s necessary and become a better you! Whether it’s business wise, mentally, or physically! So I don’t deem business challenges as struggles, but more so successes because in the end, me staying consistent and determined, I always win! My words of advice to current and future business owners is nothing is promised, not even the next minute. If you have on your heart, listen to your calling and everything else will fall into place in due time, but accordingly.

I must say my business has surely grown from 3 years ago and I have also added businesses. I became a Texas Notary Public in which I am also the business owner of “Kollections Signature Notary Services.” My other business, “Tiff Michelle Kollections”, specializes in many different custom items such as custom shirts, gift baskets, (tumblers, cups, stemless wine glasses, mugs), keychains, tote bags, party favors, cake toppers, and the list goes on. I also still sale my mink eyelash boxes being this product is what I started from. My current best sellers and my customer’s favorite are my designer inspired Arm Kandy Bracelet Sets! I believe I’m known for being exactly who I’ve always been and that’s someone who seeks and is determined to get everything in life I put my mind to. I’m so proud of the woman I’ve become and the businesses I have established for myself as well as the future I’m setting up for my son. I’m absolutely selfless when it comes to my son and I wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s the push I need when I can’t push for myself! I love everything about being me, Tiff Michelle!
