Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Henderson.
Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
First, I just want to say how truly honored I am to be featured in this magazine. My journey hasn’t been the easiest, but it has absolutely been purpose-driven.
I was raised on the West Side of Chicago. I became a teen mom early, got married early, and life moved fast. Then everything changed. My husband checked into the hospital in April and by July he was gone. Just like that, I was a widow with three small children trying to figure life out. Chicago was not the easiest place to raise kids, but I did what I had to do. Still, deep down, I knew there had to be more for me and my children.
One day, in the most random moment, I literally threw a quarter on a map. Texas was one of the places it landed. Around that same time, my job had an opening there. Within a month, me and my children were on our way. And honestly, that move was one of the best decisions I ever made. Texas opened my eyes to possibilities I never imagined growing up as a teen mom in Chicago.
I met incredible women and started connecting with my purpose. I created an organization called Elite Stars, and over time I founded multiple businesses. One that remains close to my heart is Dreamcatcher Academy, a daycare I opened in Acres Home. That business is where I truly learned the power of manifestation.
At first, I only had five children enrolled. I remember walking the yard of that daycare and telling God, “If You send me 30 children, I can create jobs… I can buy the van… I can build this center the way it deserves to be built.” About two or three weeks later—right when I was about to call the owner and say I couldn’t do it anymore—I got a knock at the door. A woman told me she had just closed her daycare and wanted to enroll 30 children into mine. That moment changed everything for me. It showed me manifestation is real. When you speak something with faith and intention, the universe hears you.
From there, I launched social media businesses, event planning businesses, and more. But in 2018, my life shifted again. I had just lost my mother in 2017. I was hiding my car. I was in foreclosure. I had $2,500 left to my name. And instead of giving up, I invested it into starting my spa.
That first month I generated $20,000. Within six months, I had built a six-figure business. I began training women on how to recreate that same success because I knew what it felt like to hit zero—literally zero—in the bank, and still step out on faith.
But like every story, there were setbacks. A building I was in got sold from underneath me. I got discouraged and eventually sold part of the business, signing an NDA that stopped me from reopening for two years. I also opened another spa, Yoni Me, and went through a hard partnership. I learned some tough but valuable lessons.
Fast forward to 2025. I was talking to someone close to my heart about how unhappy I had become doing what I was doing. I told them I missed my spa. I missed helping people. And out of pure belief in me, that person invested a significant amount of money into my vision. That moment reignited everything.
Now here I am—back in my purpose, back helping women and men feel confident, and also helping people create their own dream lives by starting their own spas. Even though I’m “starting over,” the truth is… I’m not really starting over. I’m starting again, with experience. The principles are the same. The hustle is the same. The universe is the same.
We reopened in July 2025, and we’re stepping into the new year with our signature program, Transformation 26. This is our year of transformation—physically, mentally, financially, spiritually.
And I’m not doing this alone. I am blessed to be surrounded by powerful, gifted women who believe in this vision with me—our massage therapist from The Ultimate Me, our estheticians from Goddess Beauty Aesthetics and Eve’s Rejuvenating Spa. And even before them, I had women like B Aesthetics and others from my earlier location who believed in me from the beginning.
I’m excited. Not just for myself, but for my children, for the women partnering with me, and for everyone who is going to be transformed by what we’re building. I’ve gone from teen mom… to widow… to entrepreneur… to mentor… and now, right back into alignment with what God always planned for me.
And this is only the beginning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not — my journey has been anything but smooth. It’s been a whirlwind of highs, lows, and everything in between. I’ve dealt with real depression and deep grief. I’ve lost my husband, then my mother, and then the person I originally moved to Houston for. Those three losses alone could have broken me, but somehow, I kept pushing through.
On the business side, I’ve had moments where I made six figures… and then had to start completely over again. I’ve made bad investments, trusted the wrong people, and learned some very expensive lessons. Then I had to unlearn, relearn, and figure out how to make the right investments so my businesses could grow the way I knew they should.
And honestly, out of everything I’ve gone through, the biggest obstacle was me. Getting out of my own head. Moving past fear. Letting go of control. Stopping the self-doubt. I had to learn how to stop standing in my own way.
Today, I’m finally in a place where I trust myself. I trust my vision. I trust the universe. And instead of forcing the journey, I’m allowing myself to be guided. And that shift has changed everything.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
On the creative side, I’m really a poet at heart. I’m a deep thinker, a writer, and someone who processes life through words. I write short stories, poetry, and little pieces that come straight from my spirit. Some people even tell me I can sing a little — I’m not saying I’m Beyoncé, but I can hold a note. A little bit.
But truly, my creativity shows up most in the things I make to heal myself and others — journals, self-help guides, poetry collections, and anything that encourages reflection and growth. Those are the things I hold dear because they’re not just products… they’re lifelines. They’ve helped me through some of my toughest moments, and now they help other people, too.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My biggest advice for finding a mentor is simple: be intentional and be teachable. A lot of people say they want a mentor, but they really just want someone to hand them success. A true mentor is someone who guides you, challenges you, and holds you accountable — not someone who does the work for you.
For me, what has worked is seeking out people who are aligned with where I’m going, not where I currently am. I look for individuals who not only have the success I desire, but who also have the integrity, discipline, and mindset that I admire. Because character matters just as much as achievement.
When it comes to networking, I’ve learned that the best connections come from being genuine. I show up as myself — transparent, honest, and open — and that naturally attracts the right people. I don’t network just to be seen. I network to build real relationships, exchange value, and find people I can both learn from and pour into.
And honestly? One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that the right mentor or connection will not come until you’re ready. Once I stepped out of my own way, healed some things internally, and aligned with my purpose, the right people started showing up naturally.
So my advice is this:
Be open. Be ready. Be coachable. And don’t chase the room — prepare yourself so that the room invites you in.
