I was forced to find a way to earn income after my job ended my contract. I always wanted to own a bar, so I dove in!
We are thriving! We have become a premier spot on the Northside for adult nightlife that includes, live music, open mic, and hookah.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it was not a smooth road. However, it was to be expected that it would take time to grow the business. There were days when not one person entered the doors. Even after hiring promoters, the crowd still had not reached capacity. Yet, I didn’t give up. I worked hard to come up with creative themes and drink specials that would drive the crowd in.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Showtime Bar and Lounge story. Tell us more about the business.
Showtime Bar and Lounge has an atmosphere that is unmatched. Our space is decorated in black and gold. We have a throne chair, five regular sections, a VIP Section and Super VIP Lounge.
We specialize in creative drinks and hookah. We have a live band every 1st and 3rd Friday’s along with Open Mic each Sunday.
I am most proud of our growth in a short time frame.
Besides our decor, our bar is clean and our entertainment is phenomenal.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I am unsure. social media seems to be the driving force of all businesses and when changes present themselves, we will adapt accordingly.
