Today, we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Scales. Tiffany was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Ericka Blount.
Hi Tiffany, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Art has been a part of my entire life, poetry in particular. I began writing at the age of 5 and reciting at 10. I started speaking extemporaneously at poetry events in 2002. Whether curating and hosting open mics, private events, or serving as the residential poet at my church of nearly 18 years, art has been a healing experience for myself as well as whomsoever experienced it. I received a certification in Therapeutic Art Life Coaching in 2018, with which I have shared therapeutic steps and resources to help youth and adults defeat emotional constipation and uphold emotional intelligence while being more mindful of the breaths they take.
Please talk to us about your creative work and career. What should we know?
While my art is referred to as a gift, I accompanied it with education and resources in addition to experience. I earned my Bachelor’s in Entertainment and Recording Management, Certification in Therapeutic Art Life Coaching, and over 30 years of combined experience writing, reciting, and leading others to do the same. Art is healing, and with but a deep breath in and slow exhale, you too can delve into the most creative space of your mind.
Ericka Blount and Blount Wine Therapy have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Ericka Blount and Blount Wine Therapy and your experience with them.
Meeting Blount was a BLESSING! Literally, I was at work making calls, to check on congregants of the church. Within 5 minutes of checking on her, we delve into a nearly one hour conversation where I learned of her history with Art Therapy, Counseling, Education, and her very own THERAPEUTIC WINE company! Blount does not drink, which makes the process of creating wines interesting. She literally smells them and intuitively comes up with a name! Blount Wine Therapy stuck out to me. While she continued explaining her journey to me and how she maintained her faith amid obstacles I quickly googled her company and signed up on her website to be a member. I am happy that she invited me to collaborate as my marketing and social skills would pair well with her easy to sell product and mission! We are currently working on a podcast, and private wine tastings. I look forward to the outcome of the work we are doing!
