Tina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I had interest in permanent makeup field more than 10 years ago. While working at a salon, I was thinking to myself that I have to learn something new, more interesting. Something that not a lot of people were already doing. I found permanent makeup and fell in love since. I took classes, sometimes even outside the country. I asked my relatives, my friends to let me them work on their faces for their brows, eyeliners, and lips, for free! Never in my mind that I would gave up, although it was difficult and struggling at first. And as time went by, my skill improved every day. I felt confidence enough to start Tina’s Permanent Makeup & Eyelash. We have more and more customers every day. The major source of my new customers are from words of mouths. I take pride into taking care of my customer with my most attention. Because I care deeply about how they look. Whether the service is Microblading eyebrows, Ombre eyebrows, lip liners, or full lips, I listen to my customers’ personal references, their concern, and I input my own advice too. Then I would draw by pencil until the customer satisfied. Then I begin the process. I want each of my customer walk out happy. And they are. The evident is that I get a lot of customers from references than from than online marketing or walk-ins. We also provide Eyelash services. We now have more than 4 eyelash technicians to afford high demand from customers, thankfully. Our eyelash technicians are highly trained and take pride of themselves for providing the best services that we can to serve our customers. And whether Permanent Makeup or Eyelash, we only use the highest quality products available for our customers. If the customers happy, we are happy.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not a smooth road. I had so many struggles and challenges at first. Some customers were not happy, asked me to redo, refund…etc. Sometimes it was stressful. But I never wanted to quit. I knew that I could do it.
Tina’s Permanent Makeup & Eyelash – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our salon provide permanent makeup and eyelash services. For permanent makeup, we provide Microblading and Ombre services for eyebrows. Those are the 2 latest trends for eyebrows. Also, we provide eyeliners, lip liners, or full lips services. Imagine waking up with your eyebrows are already perfect? Eyeliners are drawn? Our customers save a lot of time for having them done. And not only do they save time, they look very good too. We also provide eyelash services. Whether customers want a full volume lash, or lash extensions, or lash tinting…or any other lash services, we provide them all.

We care deeply about how customers look, feel. We never stop learning new techniques to serve our customers. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
It must be the moment when one of my customer came back just to say thank you to me for her eyebrows. She cried, said that it literally changed her life. Not only did it save her a lot of time, it looked so good on her, she got so many compliments. She said that she feel a lot more confident. I felt so proud and love my job more.
