Tomanesha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my company Issa Toots Wig.co back in 2017, I came up with the name driving to work, Toots, my nickname everyone knows me by, why not name my company after me so at this point I had been natural for a few years now trying different styles such as braids, Sewin, and Quickweaves so I started looking for new style with less tension, and less damage to my natural hair so I have seen a video on YouTube On how to make a U-part wig so I began making Upart wigs for myself, and family. I then began ventured off into finding hair with great quality because lace front wigs were the new hot thing so I started watching more videos from YouTube. I ordered all my wig making supplies from Amazon and started making my lace frontal which now my company is known for custom frontal wigs.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting out, it wasn’t easy building clientele with a new hair company with no reviews people were skeptical. So, I ran promotions to build my clientele up.
