Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Chicas.
Tony, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a proud father of 3 boys and when my first son Matthew was born I have never felt so in love for a person like I did for my boy. I didn’t want to miss one moment, I got the green light from the wifey to buy a nice camera and began taking pictures of my son every opportunity I got!!! Many of my family and friends began asking who was taking my pictures and told them I was and they began asking if I would take their pictures, I couldn’t say no.
As time went by I began investing in classes, equipment and learning how to improve and create beautiful imagery that families can enjoy and cherish the rest of their lives. My passion for photography is based on LOVE… Couples, Families, Kids, those special moments that we all can look at an image and feel the emotion, connection and can’t help but to smile and feel the LOVE in the image.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
All the best things in life are things we work hard for and must go through pain, failures but reach a moment that you can look back and know it was all worth it. I have come to a conclusion that I must FAIL!!! I have a saying that I tell everyone that I meet and it goes like this. Fail a million times so you can become a million times greater!!!
Many times fear of failing will stop you from capturing a beautiful image or anything in life, but once you allow failure into your life as a teaching tool, failure will help you learn and grow.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Tony Chicas Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a Professional Wedding and Portrait Studio and we are known for our Artistic Imagery that evokes emotion and storytelling. We specialize in on-location photoshoots where we bring our off-camera flash and professional equipment to create beautiful imagery that is worthy to be displayed in our client’s homes.
We are proud of capturing LOVE, special moments and create imagery that will last a lifetime through creative lighting, use of beautiful environmental and architectural backgrounds we are blessed to have here in our beautiful city of Houston!!!
