Today we’d like to introduce you to Toun Fadugba.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started Eclante a couple of years ago when it became so obvious that my passion for interior decor was way beyond what could remain simply a hobby! Every single time I had guests over at my house, they would always ask who my interior designer was. They always assumed it was done by a professional because it looked too good to not have been professionally done. This encouraged me to eventually start up my own interior decor firm. I have had the joy and privilege of taking the stress of design of many clients and putting smiles on their faces as they enjoy their both gorgeous and functional home or office space.

Early August, we launched our own brand of interior decor products currently sold on our website and on Amazon. This was borne out of my love for unique, modern and contemporary decor accents. I figured I could create designs I love and share with the world as there will be millions in the world who will also love them and be grateful to have them.

I was so excited just a couple of days ago when I found that an inspiring celebrity had found our store on Amazon and purchased one of our accent vases for her new home!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, most especially the path to launching our own products and getting them to the online market. We faced some challenges with e-commerce which may not be unusual on the platform.
Being a start-up entrepreneur is not easy. When you set out and plan everything out, you expect that certain actions will yield certain results but the reality is that sometimes there are unexpected roadblocks.
It’s important to keep going through because that’s only when you get the reward which is sure!
