Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatrice Zarco.
Beatrice, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
You can never miss my Gypsy soul! (I have lived in many different cities) and would consider more if the opportunity presented itself. I either have a shaved blonde haircut or a two tone Mohawk. Those that wonder why… my favorite great aunt passed from cancer and to support her I shaved my head. I then also volunteered at The Ronald McDonald House with kids with cancer. It has stuck with me ever since.
I am a true Hippie at heart! Being raised in West Marin California and attending college in Southern California has given me a true sense of reality without ever really losing myself with the perception that many have with Hollywood. Being born in El Salvador and migrating to the United States with both my parents at the age of 2, I have always remained humble and gracious with my up bringing. As a little girl, I watched my parents both work hard towards the “American Dream” providing me with anything and everything they could to give me the best life. Having them as my role models have kept me grounded till this day. For that, I could never thank them enough.
Some say I have a name and style you won’t soon forget. My dream was to always own my own business. From a very young age, it was fashion, it was beauty. Tho at the time I had no idea where it would lead me. I always knew I wanted my own brand.
I spent my early twenties enjoying so much of life as I did as a child. By my mid-twenties after college, I had already lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
In 2006, I was living in Scottsdale Arizona. And when I decided to pursue an education in medical aesthetics.
2009, in LA, I began working with a top plastic surgeon, chief of staff of a hospital and USC professor, who had taught at that time over 140 plastic surgeons nationwide. I went on to work for Benefit Boutique Cosmetics in Santa Monica, CA. And gained even more experience in the cosmetic/makeup aspect of my aesthetics career.
By 2011, my Hollywood days and lifestyle was coming to a dead end. Even though I thrived being amongst Hollywood royalty, I wanted more. I wanted to focus more on the skincare side of the business.
2011, I moved back to Arizona to work for PCA Skin – Some of you may have met me while I was a National/International Educator in Scottsdale Arizona. I developed a department within my department with PCA SKIN’S Spanish Partnerships. Here I focused on Business Consulting, Product Knowledge, Sales, and Education. I lead this department by translating all Marketing/Education Material from English to Spanish. Conducting live seminars in Spanish Nationwide and Internationally.
In 2012, I left Arizona after being presented with an opportunity I could not refuse from skincare/business & owner/aesthetic expert Ann Webb in Austin Texas. Not so long after my internship and becoming a Certified Aesthetics Instructor. With my eponymous hard work, grit, dedication, passion & drive I moved to Houston to provide Houstonians with the same customized aesthetics, makeup, Laser & skincare treatments I perfected on celebrity clients and day to day people like myself in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Austin, Houston, New York, Arizona and San Francisco. I bought Vanity Lounge by Zarco in River Oaks Texas with the help of a true and dear friend at the time who also helped me move to Houston to pursue my dream of owning my very own business Vanity Lounge by Zarco in one of the most prestigious areas of Houston, TX. I will tell you God brought me to Houston and placed angels in my life, blessing me with a dream I never thought would be possible.
The general consensus from the people that care about me and know me best say that I am free-spirited, fun-loving, a good friend, genuine, loyal, very hard-working, generous, warm, engaging, witty, intelligent, a brutal perfectionist, confident and very no-nonsense. (Especially when it comes to working.)
The things I love about life are possessing a soft heart for my family and good people, having admiration for intelligence, fashion, and soulful inner and outer beauty. I am inspired by good deeds being done by people on behalf of those that can’t do for themselves. I appreciate ambition and great ideas that cause people to start their own businesses and work at them until they succeed, or courageous people who embark on journeys that others are afraid to travel.
I recognize greatness, see the good things in those that may not deserve it, appreciate those that are dear to me, those that contribute to the relationship that we may have or have had.
I am a born connector of people and have a passion for creating a memorable time for those around me. ALWAYS! I LOVE TO DO THIS! I figure If I can’t enhance the lives of the people I come in contact with, then my purpose for being on this earth will never truly be fulfilled.
I have been blessed to have wonderful mentors during my whole entire life. Everyone no matter what the circumstances are now has played a huge roll in helping me develop to the woman I am now. This is the main reason I live to help women. Especially women that have had a tuff upbringing, have been sex trafficated, been emotionally/physically abused and anyone trying to find themselves. I love to help women be independent and confident.
I like to remind others that beauty is more than skin deep. With so many refocused goals I am sure I will help change your life! However, I can!
I feel I have many qualities a blessing and a curse all at the same time. My true dream is to create an outstanding supreme brand backed by education. I want to own my own aesthetics institute and skincare professional/retail line.
I have sought out the top of the line customized Aesthetic, Laser, Cosmetic, Skincare Solutions in order to provide treatments to all ethnic backgrounds.
Healthy and Beautiful Skin is one of my many missions, I believe that a highly educated and skilled skin care clinician is one of the most important assets your skin can have. That’s why I have spent countless hours on educating and certifying myself. This process ensures that as a licensed certified professional I am knowledgeable in each of my advanced product lines services/treatments. I have worked hard to uniquely qualify myself to select the best combination of products for your skin and get you the results you want with confidence. Of course, aiming for skin care perfection is just the start I can create or achieve makeup looks ranging from every day to ballgown ready. Whether it’s helping to pare down your makeup kit or giving you a clean start with new products, or a new updated look, there are no one-size fits all approach.
Your true unique individuality is what excites me and helping to bring that out through fashion, beauty, skincare, makeup, and or cosmetic procedures, while maybe even helping you get to where you want to be life is what makes me love and like what I do every day.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been smooth sailings. My struggles have been many, but the ones that standout the most have been not giving up when I wanted to or felt that I wasn’t getting anywhere. Not knowing everything. Staying consistent. Wanting to get to my end goal over night. Ego/pride/defiant… boy, have I had struggles here at times. More than I’d like to say. Thinking the grass is greener on the other end, it rarely ever is.
My advice, stay patient. Try not to be so hard on yourself. Educate yourself as much as you can in your industry even if you may not provide a service, retail product or treatment. Know what’s out there. Be confident without coming off as arrogant. Sometimes, my confidence can come off as arrogance, nobody ever likes that create an experience always setting yourself apart from the rest. Know your worth. And most importantly, make sure this is what you are really passionate about.
