Meet Trailblazer Terra Briscoe-Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terra Briscoe-Adams.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The “Team Terra” movement was developed to uplift, inspire, and motivate women all around. I was once that girl with little to no direction in life. I didn’t have the push to be successful, all I could remember was my mom saying I had to go to college. I didn’t know that by her telling me the next direction in my life, I would be the woman I am today. College shaped, molded and grounded me, this was the beginning to journey. I then took the years dedicated and shared it, women, all around. Who would think that this once teen mom would be helping other women reach their goals? I didn’t stop there, I then developed my own online baby store after having my second daughter.

WiddleToes was inspired by infants and motivated by moms. As a mom of two, a wife, and a degree seeking graduate student my life was greatly challenged. Between soccer games, doctor visit’s, laundry and whatever else you could possibly think of as a mother, I had no time and no money. With my husband being our only source of income… well, let’s just say our budget was on a budget. The idea for “Widdle” WiddleToes originated from a sketch done by my oldest daughter, Alicia. This was not an overnight dream, it took years of planning with many trials and errors.

As a busy mom, tying shoes were so over-rated and buttoning onesies was such a hassle. So, I created my own products, which would take less time to get your widdle one ready and more time to love them. I wanted something comfortable, practical and fashionable. So, I put my fashion twist on it and wallah! I started to realize there was a demand for all my products. I live to give all the widdle babies all the fancy and schmancy needed!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I struggled but the struggles were what made me the women that I am today. I was a teen mom, single mom, full-time student and worker. I had to find a balance which was a sacrifice to my daughter but later a blessing in her life.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Team Terra- WiddleToes – what should we know?
1. I host events around the Houston area to help women get through life. However, it’s not limited to women but that is my target market. The goal is to be a better you… my motto is if I can, you can, we can! I host yearly vision board parties to prepare them for the year to come, making sure their goals align with their passion. One of my favorite events was the “Beauty, Brains and Brushes” this was a makeup class to teach women to love themselves inside and out and to properly apply makeup of course. One of my favorite events was my “Brunching with wives” we had a panel discussion on what marriage is all about and how to find your soulmate. I have an upcoming event to promote successful marriages and keep them thriving.

My goal is to help people get through the rough times and share my testimony.

2. The second thing I do is fashion. I am an influencer with a twist of fashion, I post daily fashion images through my personal page (team_terra) and children’s page (widdletoes).

I’m most proud of my book I recently published called “Widdle Penelope”. It’s a picture book stimulated to promote sight words and advance children’s vocabulary. I found that my toddler loved books but there were few that had images that look similar to her. So, I took that leap of faith and created one of my own,

Which women have inspired you in your life?
Beyonce: Do I need to say more? She’s is a great singer, activist, and wife. I have two of those under my belt, I’m still working on the singer part. We both have the same 24 hours in a day but she makes it look so easy as if she gets a little more time in her day to be great.

My mom: She’s a mother of six and was able to take care of us by herself. It was not an easy task however through dedication and perseverance she did an amazing job. She deserves way more credit than she gets. She has undeniable been the reason for where I am today. I blessed to have a strong mother in my life!
