Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Solis.
Hi Vanessa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Vanessa Solis, the owner and photographer of Vanessa Solis Photography. Since I remember, I have always loved taking photos. I wanted to pursue photography right after high school but was too timid at the time. I attended college and received my BBA in finance. After working a few years in the oil and gas industry, I felt I was ready to join the photography industry. I decided to start my photography business in April 2017 while still working full time. Little by little, my client list started to grow. In order to have the extra flexibility, I decided to move into a full-time photographer in March 2018. So here I am almost four years later and have met so many wonderful people. Capturing special moments of their life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of my main struggles was when I first started my business. I know it takes time to build your brand and get your name out there. Once I transitioned to a full-time photographer, I was able to improve in my marketing strategy.

Vanessa Solis Photograph offers a variety of photography services. (i.e. maternity, birthday, graduation and wedding photos) I also cover small events like baby showers, graduation & birthday parties. I may not be the most outspoken person but my clients know that I’ll always try my best to exceed their expectations. I want them to love their photos each time they book with me. I am proud that I’m able to do what I love and be part of so many great milestones.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up along with my two brothers I was the shy one. I usually kept to myself for the most part. As for my hobbies I would love reading books and taking photos.
