Thanks for sharing your story with us Veltman. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in a Christian home, the eldest of three siblings, all boys. Our parents imparted in us the fear of God, discipline, hard work and humility. I always associated myself as an average person, comfortable in just being the average student, sportsman and professional but at some point, in my life, I decided to put a stop to it and made a decision to be the best in anything I put my mind to. It has not been an easy road but with God’s help it has been a fruitful experience.
When I moved to the US, I saw there were lots of opportunities to better myself, with pieces of advice from my professional mentor, I started taking certification classes in relevant areas in my professional life. To cut the long story short, thanks to my very understanding wife and kids who constantly put up with my studious lifestyle, I now add value to the lives of individuals and companies through tailored services, training and certifications Velty Kay Consulting offers.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like the saying goes, nothing good comes easy. I faced a lot of challenges along the way, the sleepless nights while studying for certifications and combining it with a job that had to do with lots of travelling, prioritizing my self-development over my other needs were some of the hardest challenges I faced in my journey.
At the beginning, I was always reminded of the disadvantage’s immigrants had in the United states but I tried to focus on the big picture with the encouragement of my support group who were made up of my wife, kids, my professional mentor and his family as well as like-minded professionals.

As part of giving back to the global community, we currently have free virtual meetups for new and aspiring Agile practitioners that are geared towards impacting knowledge on tooling and understanding Agile project management.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We plan to globalize our business and expand our services towards continents like Africa, where we expect to see more growth and be a vehicle of technological change while impacting businesses positively.
