Well my husband (Albert Martinez) is in the real-estate business and he would always go to estate sales whenever he saw them to ask about what was happening to the homes. So he spoke with his mom and myself and thought it would be a good investment and market to get into. So we actually bought this company when it was just getting started by someone that was struggling to stay afloat. We knew we could bring this company back to life and make is successful with hard work. So, now we have been serving the Houston area for about 10 yrs.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
NO, this has not been a smooth road, I wish it would be yet, just like any business there are good and bad times. One of the biggest struggle was and still is getting your business known and to stand out from the rest (over 30) of estate sale companies in the Houston area.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about A Belle Estate Sales – what should we know?
A Belle Estate Sale Houston is a family owned company that offers a full line of professional estate and liquidation services. Planning an estate sale can be an emotional experience, whether you are an empty-nester downsizing your possessions or an heir selling the contents of your loved one’s estate. So, we offer a range of options for clients to fit each and everyone’s need to make the sale as less stressful as possible.
What sets us apart is we take the time with each client to educate them about the process of having an estate sale to make it as transparent for our clients as can be. We will go over the ins and outs from start to finish what to expect from an estate sale. Unlike our competitors we do keep an itemize list of items of value that are in the estate. Keeping a list of the items to be sold is a MUST and we take the time to itemize all items of value. We aim to have each of our sales look professional and beautiful so that people are happy to purchase items from the sale. We are a one stop shop. We can and do handle all aspects from the sale of the items inside the home to the sale of the house itself. We do not own a warehouse, store front or do buyouts. We believe this is a conflict of interest for those are able to host an onsite estate sale.
