Today we’d like to introduce you to Waleed Zubair.
Hi Waleed, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2016 – 2017, while still in my senior year of high school, I landed an internship at a retirement investment firm where I gained nothing short of immense knowledge and education on creative investing strategies (generally in real estate). I always found myself intrigued with the redevelopment/reconstruction process of the properties the clients would purchase. I started to overlook projects being done by my friends and family and learn as much as I could about the process.
I decided to take a leap and start a company that specializes in residential reconstruction for investors specifically. As that started to gain traction, I found high demand for concrete from homeowners that were not being met. That is when I decided to tap into the concrete industry and founded ZG Concrete Solutions. After almost 3 years of heavily focusing on residential concrete solutions, we have executed hundreds of projects, put together our very own concrete specialized teams, and added an equipment/machinery rental segment to the company.
I know there is a lot more work to be done and growth that will take place. Currently, my attention is on scaling our equipment/machinery rental portion of the business. Overall, I am excited to see the growth of the company in all avenues.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No matter how prepared I thought I was, there were many roadblocks and obstacles. The execution of these projects requires many moving pieces to come together. One of the struggles was putting together concrete specialized crews. Finding individuals with experience in concrete construction who could operate and execute with a sense of urgency all while delivering high-quality work. Today we have an amazing team and everyone’s efforts are always rewarded and appreciated! To keep the road smooth as possible as we begin to scale, we constantly gather feedback from clients to find where we can improve. It was a matter of finding the most efficient processes and implementing them. I believe this is a constant and there is always something new to learn.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I founded ZG Concrete Solutions with the intention of making it a full-service turnkey residential concrete company. A one-stop concrete shop for homeowners. That is what I would say sets us apart. We strongly focus on swift execution. A majority of our projects last no longer than three days while most are completed within two. There is a process put in place that is followed from when the prospect contacts us and until their project is completed. From driveways to walkways to decorative concrete patios, we are able to educate our clients on the process and bring their vision to life. There is nothing more exciting than being able to bring a homeowner’s vision to life and surpassing expectations.

As far as business-to-business goes, we work with many general contractors who are looking to subcontract their clients’ concrete projects. And any individual who sends us referrals/leads always gets paid a referral bonus! We greatly appreciate all of the support and collaborations with partners.
