Today we’d like to introduce you to William Fierros Acevedo.
Hi William, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the floral industry happened completely by accident. More than 20 years ago, a friend asked if I could help at the florist shop where he worked during the busy Valentine’s Day season. I had no idea that one opportunity would completely change the course of my life.
The first time I held a flower and began creating an arrangement, it awakened a creative passion I never knew I had. What started as a temporary favor quickly became something much bigger. At the end of the season, the shop owner asked me to stay on, and I gladly accepted. That decision opened the door to a career that has been both incredibly fulfilling and inspiring.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with wonderful clients who have trusted me to be part of some of life’s most meaningful moments—from elegant weddings and corporate events to elaborate holiday installations and intimate celebrations. Each project has challenged me to grow as a designer while reminding me that flowers have the power to tell a story and create lasting memories.
Today, as the owner and creative force behind Casa Blanca Designs by Fierros, I continue to approach every design with the same excitement I felt that very first Valentine’s Day. More than two decades later, my passion remains the same: listening carefully to my clients, bringing their vision to life, and creating unforgettable experiences through the art of floral design.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any entrepreneur, there have certainly been challenges along the way. Building a business that people trust doesn’t happen overnight—it takes years of hard work, consistency, and a commitment to excellence. There have been long hours, demanding deadlines, and the pressure that comes with creating one-of-a-kind designs for some of the most important moments in people’s lives.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Whether it’s adapting to changing trends, managing the demands of large-scale holiday installations, or finding creative solutions for clients with unique visions, each experience has made me a better designer and business owner.
I consider myself incredibly fortunate because I’ve been surrounded by amazing clients who have believed in my work and encouraged me to continue pushing my creativity. Their trust has inspired me to reach greater heights and continually raise the standard for what Casa Blanca Designs by Fierros can deliver. Looking back, every obstacle has helped shape the business I have today, and I wouldn’t change the journey.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Casa Blanca Designs by Fierros, we specialize in transforming ordinary spaces into unforgettable experiences. While we’re widely known for our elaborate Christmas installations, we also design for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, and special occasions where every detail matters. Our goal is never simply to decorate a space—it’s to create an atmosphere that tells a story and leaves a lasting impression.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me. Many of them return year after year because they know I’ll take the time to truly listen—not just to what they’re saying, but to what they’re envisioning. Sometimes clients aren’t quite sure how to express what they want, and I see it as my responsibility to uncover that vision and bring it to life in a way that exceeds their expectations.
I believe what sets us apart is our personalized approach. Every client, every event, and every design is unique. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all arrangements or repeating the same ideas. Instead, we create custom designs that reflect each client’s personality, style, and purpose. More than 20 years after discovering my passion for floral design, I still approach every project with the same excitement and commitment to excellence. Seeing a client’s reaction when they walk into a completed space—that moment when their vision becomes reality—is what continues to inspire me every day.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve always believed that some of life’s greatest opportunities begin with taking a chance. Ironically, the biggest risk I ever took was saying “yes” to something I knew very little about. When a friend asked me to help at a florist shop during Valentine’s Day, I could have easily said no. Instead, I stepped into an unfamiliar world, and that one decision completely changed the direction of my life.
Since then, every stage of my career has involved calculated risks—from embracing larger and more elaborate installations to launching Casa Blanca Designs by Fierros and trusting that my creativity and dedication would speak for themselves. In this business, every event is a leap of faith because you’re creating something that exists only in your imagination until the moment it’s revealed.
I don’t consider myself someone who takes reckless risks. I believe in being prepared, working hard, and trusting my experience. Once I’ve done everything I can to ensure success, I’m willing to step outside my comfort zone and let my creativity lead the way.
For me, risk isn’t about gambling—it’s about believing in your abilities enough to pursue opportunities that challenge you to grow. Looking back over the past 20-plus years, every meaningful step in my career began with a willingness to embrace the unknown, and I’m grateful I had the courage to do so.
