Meet Winnie Nyatome-Warner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Winnie Nyatome-Warner.

Hi Winnie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started this business because I hated getting up early in the morning to go to work for someone. So I started taking photos and nearly 3 years later, I can make a full income and support myself and my family.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I decided to become a full-time photographer at the beginning of 2020. A month later, covid hit! It hasn’t been a smooth journey, but it has been a very exciting one. I sometimes wonder how I survived those years in this business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Hi, I’m Winnie! I’m a full-time wedding and lifestyle photographer in Texas. My work is amazing, and I have the best time with my clients creating it.

But, I am known for my energetic personality and natural-looking photos. I’m most proud that I didn’t allow anything to stop me from creating this business. The thing that sets me apart, is my drive to make my business known even if there are a million photographers in the world. One more doesn’t hurt anybody, and there is no one like me but me.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Just do it! even when you’re afraid, nervous, or don’t even know what you’re doing, just do it.

You will be glad and proud of yourself for jumping in and accomplishing your personal goals. I wish I knew having freedom with your time was so sweet, I would have started this business right after college haha, but better late than never.
