Today we’d like to introduce you to Yadira Hurtado.
Yadira, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up in Houston, I was always captivated by the castle shaped building on Dumble St. I liked that it reminded me of the times when I would get to play princess dress up with my friends! In 2015, with the help of my family I was able to acquire the property and opened the Magic Palace Kingdom. Now I get to help people plan and host their celebrations and help them live the happiest moments in their lives!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The short answer is no but I have enjoyed the ups and downs of it. The struggle has been learning how to run a business, since I’m new to all this. I still have a lot to learn but I’m always up for the challenge.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Magic Palace Kingdom – what should we know?
Magic Palace Kingdom is an event hall. We specialize in weddings and quinceañeras but we will be more than happy to host any celebration including corporate parties and much more. We are known for our castle themed event hall. I am proud of being able to use the business to do projects that improve the community such as clothing, toy and food collection to donate them to the people who need them. What sets me apart from other event halls is our commitment to our community.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I am friendly, loyal and very passionate about helping my clients plan their celebrations in our event hall.
