Meet Nichole Collins of Yeti to Betti in Montrose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nichole Collins.

Nichole, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I originally wanted to become a Dermatologist due to my love and curiosity of the skin. However, as I got older I decided I just wanted to “pop pimples” and not deal with all the other stuff that came along with it. So I was introduced to Esthetics where I would only deal with the skin on the face and neck.

Well while earning my Esthetician license I fell in love with waxing. I knew it was the route I wanted to take. I started and spent a long time with a local waxing boutique in Houston and when I felt I was ready I moved out on my own. This is how Yeti to Betti came along.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t believe any successful business didn’t endure obstacles or challenges along the way. Building a clientele takes time and money.

Patience is tested every month, especially when you are not sure you can make it through. I, however, am a firm believer in if there is a will, there is away. I adore my clients and won’t give up on them.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Yeti to Betti is a full body soft wax studio for both men and women specializing in the Brazilian wax. We never double dip wax sticks and provide the cleanest atmosphere possible. We are located in a suite inside the Chelsea Market Center so it’s a private entrance and exit without a lot of traffic. We want your waxing experience to be as quick, painless, and easy as we can make it.

We only use high-quality wax as well as pre and post products to ensure you get the best results possible each visit. We also offer Lash lifting and tinting and soon will be adding lash extensions to our menu.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I would say I was all over the place, I was/am really into sports, both playing and performing. I have always loved helping make people feel good about themselves which is why I think I wanted to become a Dermatologist.

I grew up with only my dad which was fun, to say the least on learning how to do the “beauty” stuff. I don’t ever like to feel uncomfortable or awkward so I give all my effort trying to make our clients feel as comfortable as I would want to feel.
