Hi Yocairys, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Born in New York City, I moved to Houston in October 2021. My entrepreneurial journey began three years ago with a credit repair and Airbnb business. Though sales were initially slow, I learned that success comes from building trust. Persistence paid off, and my following grew, allowing me to remain self-employed and help hundreds learn new skills to elevate their lives.
In August 22, 2022, I officially launched Raise Your Spark after receiving a vision for it in 2019. Eventually, I shifted my focus from entrepreneurship to this true purpose. Embracing my God-given assignment, I stopped running from the calling He placed on my life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been easy stepping outside my comfort zone and moving away from the security of a steady 9-to-5 job. There were challenges and moments when people didn’t understand my vision or my work ethic. However, I had faith and a strong work ethic that kept me going. Even when others doubted or didn’t see what I saw, I remained committed to my calling. Now, as they see the impact and success, the vision is clearer to them. Remember, people won’t always understand what God has uniquely blessed you to do, but staying true to your purpose and working diligently can lead to great things.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In August 2022, I officially launched Raise Your Spark after receiving a vision for it in 2019. Embracing my God-given assignment, I stopped running from the calling He placed on my life. We’re now transitioning Raise Your Spark into a nonprofit, making Houston our home base as we expand our reach.
God revealed my purpose in a dream while I was in a prison cell—the girl everyone wrote off. For years, I envisioned the moment when He would use me to bring women together and draw them closer to Him. Through dedication, I’ve created a vibrant, supportive environment that encourages women to flourish in their faith.
Raise Your Spark has supported over 3,000 women through our virtual mentorship program and impacted over 500 women through in-person events and workshops. With 37% of our participants in their 20s and 44% in their 30s, we continue to grow and make a meaningful impact.
We’re excited about our upcoming events in 2025, will aim to further inspire and empower women. If you feel moved to support our mission, we also accept donations to help us continue our work and expand our impact.
Additionally, through inspiring and encouraging content on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, I have built a following of 176,000, with 75% of them being women. My social media achieves a 385% engagement rate and an average reach of 9 million every 30 days. These platforms have amplified my impact, allowing me to support and empower countless women in their personal and spiritual development.
As the founder of Raise Your Spark, I am committed to empowering women to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace. My leadership is rooted in wisdom, compassion, and a commitment to fostering a community of strength, sisterhood, and spiritual growth.

Certainly! My journey has been deeply influenced by many incredible people and forces. My mentors and supporters have provided invaluable guidance and advice, helping me navigate challenges and make strategic decisions. My clients and community members, particularly those in the Raise Your Spark network, have been a constant source of inspiration and feedback, enabling me to refine and enhance our programs.
Equally important are my family and friends, whose unwavering support and encouragement have been a bedrock for me. Their belief in my vision has kept me motivated and grounded. And, of course, I am profoundly grateful to God, whose guidance and blessings have been a cornerstone of my journey, giving me the strength and clarity to pursue my purpose with conviction.
