Hi Yolanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I actually started out as a virtual assistant more than ten years ago. A real estate investor that I was working with was located in Philadelphia and needed “boots on the ground” in Atlanta where I was located. I was excited to help and also learn something new. The word about me being able to be the eyes and ears spread very quickly. Soon I had real estate agents asking me to do sign management for them, title and mortgage companies needing field inspections, and later on we even added gift delivery and real estate pop-bys. It just kept growing! I realized that there is a BIG need for someone to fill in the gaps of real estate that is “boots on the ground”. So I decided with my hands training over the years with contractors, investors, and agents that I could fill that need. I love real estate but I absolutely love helping people more.My company provides not only leverage for the real estate professional but also peace of mind.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh trust me, there have been struggles! One of the biggest struggles was learning that I can’t be everywhere and everything at the same time. I learned very quickly that wanting to help people just wasn’t enough. Burnout came very quickly and I had to learn that in order to help professionals leverage their business I had to leverage my own. I started researching how to build a business and put together an all-star team. I am very grateful for the people that helped me through our growing pains but also that provided insight and awesome feedback on how we can be even greater!

Diamond Runner Services specializing in field logistics for real estate professionals. We have 10 + plus years of experience and proudly woman-owned. We help real estate professionals with yard signs and open house sign placement, Lockboxes(including Supras), document delivery, mobile notary services, contractor check-ins, property checks, 2d Floor Plans, real estate pop-bys, holiday gift drop-offs, and other varied field tasks as requested! We are your boots on the ground from contract to close! What sets us apart from others is that we make building relationships a priority. There is a high level of accountability that comes with what we do and A LOT of it is last minute, so we also understand the stress. We are very proud to customize our services to all of our client’s needs and are available 7 days a week and always accessible with open communication.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Honestly, Covid 19 actually helped propel Diamond Runner Services and sparked ALOT of referrals. With our company being behind the scenes and covering so much ground, professionals really relied on us to get things done and to minimize contact for them and their clients. We utilized masks and ALOT of sanitizer and we also developed great relationships along the way. We are very grateful to have been able to help businesses keep going and growing instead of having to stress about potential risks that came with contact of the virus.
With or without COVID you have to be sensitive to your clients needs and know that those you come in contact with may have special circumstances. You never know what someone may be feeling or thinking about the current state of things. Always ask questions so that you can make sure you are respecting everyone’s boundaries and have a good understanding of their needs while still providing top quality service!
