Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Rangel.
Hi Alex, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
At 10 years old I was given a Mickey Mouse magic book that changed my life.
A little about me. I have spent more than twenty five years performing all over the world, and I have been fortunate enough to help create magic for shows like David Blaine’s Real Or Magic, Dynamo Magician Impossible, Netflix’s Death by Magic, and several projects for ABC, BBC and Discovery. These days I love bringing the same level of fun and connection to private events that I do to major networks.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Goodness no, but no matter what, in my darkest times, magic has saved my life. From getting me away from friends that devoted their life to drugs. Or digging me out of a hole of depression after I had a terrible accident losing vision my right eye.
Magic has always been there for me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
After 25+ years what it cones down to is real human connections. Giving the gift of joy and wonder to each performance.
I’m proud of the work I did for major networks, and I feel blessed to work in the corporate market.
But nothing compares to the volunteer work that we’ve done in the DR. Teamed with some of the best magicians on the planet we toured the Dominican Republic showing magic to children and students that would have never experienced such a thing, especially up close and personal.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
My goal would be to move into the keynote market. Sharing my experiences, and giving hope to those on a misguided path.
