Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Momin.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As a kid, I had a love affair with cars, not only cars but anything that had wheels and a motor. I would always be on the look out for nice cars and trucks, whether that was when I was getting dropped off in elementary or on the bus back home from Middle School. I would name every car not by the logo but by the distinctive body lines each car had. As I got older, I had the opportunities to be hands on with various vehicles, all makes and models and my brain was molded into admiring and taking in as much information on these beautiful machines day in and day out. With that experience, I learned how every little detail matters on a car, from the color of the brake calipers to the abundance of choices on colors for the body. Fast forward to high school I finally got my first car, and the factory specs just didn’t do it for me, I wanted my car to be unique to me. So one night in the rabbit hole of YouTube I came across a video of a normal guy putting vinyl on his own car, and this lit a light bulb In my head, if he can do it, I’m sure I can figure out how to do it. The same night I ordered a roll of vinyl and as soon as it was delivered, I went to town on my car. It definitely was much harder than it seemed in the video, so much so that I had to redo my hood 3 times before it was perfect. In the following months, everyone was asking me if I could do their car, and this soon lead to the start of my first business, Optimum Auto Styling was born. I ran the wrap shop for over 4 years and absolutely loved every second of it. While being the owner and operator of a successful wrap shop, I soon realized that many customers did not know how to maintain their wraps. This now leads me down another rabbit hole of creating a detailing product line. As the years went by the demand for products grew and so did my network in the industry. I knew I had something on my hands. Countless days and sleepless nights of R&D, branding, and some mistakes later, it was time to come up with a name for my company, and this is how Enzo Chemicals came to be. I chose “Enzo” because the meaning of Enzo was the same as my first name Ali. In 2021 we had the opportunity and privilege to showcase our products at the Houston Auto Show and to our surprise with tremendous love and support we completely sold out! To me, this was bigger than just a business, having our products in garages across the country, life finally came full circle. Today, Enzo Chemicals is a worldwide company, serving those that share the passion I had for cars growing up and keeping those body lines clean for someone else to fall in love with.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There’s a saying anything worth having does not come easy. Starting a chemical company from scratch was lesson in itself. From learning and reading about how each raw chemical reacts with one another, to ensure our products would standout on the shelf. At times it felt like for every step I took forward there were obstacles and hurdles that put me 2 steps back. Every now and then I just felt like giving up, but my motivation and drive for the industry pushed me to keep going and I knew why I started. Even after the products were developed the problems didn’t end, I was just another young kid from Texas who had the task of competing with multi-million dollar companies, that were years ahead of us. We had to be different to advance in this 15billion dollar industry. From trying to convince large-scale manufacturers to supply us with the very raw chemicals we needed to formulate our blends, to finding manufacturers of bottles and sprayers to put them in, Every step of the way it was a huge challenge being not only a new but a small company out of Texas. It was almost as if the “Top Dogs” were scared of us and that only pushed me and motivated me harder. After long nights and going days without sleeping, we found our suppliers. In the end, my motivation prevailed and now we are competing with those same “Top Dogs” #ENZOTOTHEMOON

Enzo Chemicals is primarily focused on providing Premium grade detailing chemicals for those that love to keep their pride and joy clean. We offer both consumer grade and professional-grade detailing products to the industry, From Soaps, Tire Shines, Detail Sprays and our fan-favorite All Purpose Cleaners. We take pride in every formula, making certain that each product is effective and of the highest standards. Perfect, if you will. As the Owner and product developer I want those that use Enzo Chemicals to have the upper edge on being able to utilize the newest technology in detailing products at the same cost, if not lower than our competitors. It was most important to me that our consumers to whom we refer to as #ENZOFAM are happy and thoroughly satisfied with each wash, as they are the reason why Enzo Chemicals is successful and thriving. As the Founder of Enzo Chemicals, the thing that makes me the proudest is the outreach we have gained over the short period of time that we have been around. Being able to go out to car shows and events all across the country and knowing that people have heard of or have used the product blows my mind every time. To see the results of all the blood, sweat and tears and its impact on the industry as a whole is a feeling that is second to none. We continue to strive and provide the newest and perfect products because we are #AddictedToPerfection.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
The best advice I can give someone, is what if it can turn out better than what you expected. Life’s all about challenges its how you face them that matters. There’s an opportunity for everyone to be great at something, but if you don’t take the initiative, that opportunity will be given to the next person. A lot of times people are scared to make that first step, they don’t have the self-confidence or the belief that they can be the one that changes their lives and everyone around them. Sure, it does take an idea and perseverance but once you’re on a roll, nothing can stop you. Whether you’re trying to start your own business or deciding a career path, follow your dreams and your passion and that itself will take you further than if you didn’t chase your goals. Everyone has a different definition of success and being successful, but for me, it’s waking up every day doing the exact thing you love. Don’t let anyone tell you your dreams and goals are unobtainable because its only you that knows what you are capable of. You will want to quit, you will want to give up, but I’m here to tell you, you shouldn’t. The fruits of your labor is the sweetest thing you’ll ever taste. Be grateful for the people around you. I know there are a few people that are the reason why I am here today giving this interview. I couldn’t imagine this journey without them!
