Today we’d like to introduce you to Armani Mbaye.
Hi Armani, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started Tiny Teepee HTX in January 2020. I’ve always loved decorating, designing, and all things creative since I was a little girl! You could find me decorating my playhouses, setting up tea parties for my dolls, and even rearranging my room! I began Tiny Teepee as a creative outlet and as a way to make amazing memories for others. I’ve also met some really awesome people along the way!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The struggles are where I’ve experienced the most growth. It forces me to take a step back and reflect on solutions. My biggest struggle has been time management. I find that I get overzealous and want to do too many things by myself. I’ve learned that an important part of the business is knowing when to ask for help/advice, delegate tasks, and intentionally schedule time for myself. I’m also very blessed to have encouraging people in my life who are always there to listen, offer advice, and guide me when I need support.

I own Tiny Teepee HTX. Tiny Teepee is an event rental service that specializes in customized teepee parties and picnics. Tiny Teepee HTX is most known for creating memorable and magical parties. Tiny Teepee HTX is set apart from others because of excellent service, a personalized touch, and bringing a “Wow” factor to each and every event!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe that certain people just have “good” or “bad” luck. Having a growth mindset, taking risks, having discernment, and most importantly, having faith are more important than luck could ever be!
