Rising Stars: Meet Brandi Clay

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Brandi Clay again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Brandi , always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Hello Everyone! I am Dr. Brandi Clay, the founder and director of The EdD Series, LLC, an educational consulting firm, and The Education Dreamer, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving educational experiences for children of color. Since we last connected, I have had the opportunity to develop additional community service projects aimed at enhancing students’ social, emotional, and reading abilities.
These community service initiatives include:

Daddy and Me: Fostering Self-Esteem through Effective Parenting
Community Readers: Strengthening Community Ties to Promote Reading
Building Literature: Collaborating with Local Writers

Additionally, I have begun designing a program intended to enhance students’ civic conversation skills through targeted social and emotional training. This program has been effective in reducing emotional outbursts, including both physical and verbal incidents.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
