At Nineteen years old Brandon Fried laid the cornerstone of Hands for Hire. His ambition was not just to repair what was broken, but to forge a shield against the wear and tear of time. Brandon’s journey has woven through the homes and businesses of a diverse tapestry of clients—from the stars in Hollywood to the hardworking heart of Texas. Since 2009, Hands For Hire Houston has been a family-run handyman business dedicated to providing exceptional residential and commercial services Texas. We believe no job is too small and focus on property upkeep with ethical, reliable, and knowledgeable service. Our team handles everything from drywall repair and painting to furniture assembly and minor plumbing. We treat every client like family, ensuring your home or business stays in excellent condition with personalized care and attention to detail. In 2019 it became clear across all walks of life: prevention is better than cure. This revelation sparked the creation of Houston’s pioneering Preventative Home and Business Maintenance Plan. Since this trailblazing moment, Hands for Hire has been the guardian against chaos, saving our family of clients from the brink of countless potential disasters, safeguarding their time, investments, and peace of mind.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wish it was smooth……….In the beginning I started the company when i was very young and we struggled with people trusting me. Then came the struggles of proper training and acquiring vehicles and equipment. Once we started adding employees that brought along its own set of challenges. Now we have our own facility, vehicles, employees and are hitting struggles of scaling the business. We have been able to over come ever obstacle. All of this was done without investors or large laons.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a full-service handyman and maintenance company for commercial and residential specializing in preventative maintenance. No job is too small for us, and our priority is to ensure every customer feels cared for from start to finish. Our team is known for exceptional customer service and comprehensive preventative maintenance packages.
We tailor custom packages at affordable rates so clients can focus on what matters most—family, home, and business—without the stress of maintenance. We’re proud of our programs and believe they set a standard in the industry. In fact, we were among the first to create and market a program like this nationwide.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about Cypress is the strong sense of community. People genuinely support each other, from local businesses to neighborhood events, which makes it a great place to live and work.
If I had to share one area for improvement, I’d point to traffic flow during peak hours. I’d love to see continued investment in smarter traffic management and more pedestrian-friendly options and sidewalks, so residents can move around safely and efficiently.
