Rising Stars: Meet Brandon Renteria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Renteria.

Hi Brandon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Me and my Corgi (Enzo) started our journey first by simply engaging with the community. Enzo rides my motorcycle with me while safely strapped in a backpack specifically made for the occasion of adventure. He began riding with me at 6 months old. He is now 2. Our first mission was to bring more smiles and positivity to the community. We’d announce on local Facebook pages that if anyone sees us riding and can safely snap a picture or video of us and post, we’d donate a set amount per image or video to different charities. With such an amazing outcome from this engagement over the next 6 months, I came up with a random idea while I simply sitting on my couch. I thought to myself, “I really want to help people. I really enjoy seeing people happy.” So I made a post to the local community Facebook page that if any parents have a child or know a child experiencing bullying, me and Enzo would surprise them at their school in hopes to make them feel special. Of course, the visits always require approval from parents and school staff. This Facebook post was made in August of 2021 and the responses just started booming! I received over 300 messages in just 24 hours. The particular students whose parents have reached out would receive a special visit from me and Enzo upon approval as well as receive a superhero cape just like the one that Enzo wears. From there on, our journey has only gotten better. I put myself through a college course for motivational speaking. When I started all of this, I committed my life to this. We’ve done multiple news appearances, as well as a segment on the Nickelodeon channel, and I was surprised to find a journalist in the UK did an article on us as well. We receive tons of messages every day from people all over the country and even other countries simply thanking me for what I do. Once I have seen the outcome of what I do, there’s no way I could ever stop my mission to End Bullying after seeing how much all of these people appreciate and love what I do. As of September 2022, I have received my master’s in motivational speaking. I invested in myself so I could invest in others. Most of our content is on Facebook. But we have a website enzorides.org that anyone can visit to find all of our social media platforms, contact email, and Enzo Rides merch.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, with all the love and support I’ve had the entire time, it’s been fairly easy. If I were to say anything was a challenge at all, it would be time. I have a full-time job in the industrial industry so I use all my vacation or off days to make our school visits. If I start seeing a high demand for my school visits and speeches, and I feel like I could do it full-time, I wouldn’t think twice about it. But for now, I’m just going with the flow until the time is right.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work full-time as an industrial radiographer. I’ve always been a hard-working person. Between working full-time and putting myself through school, I’d say that’s one of the things I’m most proud of. I’m almost 33 years of age, I still have a lot of life ahead of me. When I really think about how wise I am now compared to how I used to think about things is a huge “proud” moment for me as well. Just 3 years ago, I would’ve never thought that I’d be speaking at schools and other events. I actually have bad stage fright. Not sure I’ll ever get over that, but I definitely push through it and do what I came to do because I truly want to help everyone. Anyone that’s reads this article should know that is something I’ve never told anyone. After all, one of the most famous men in the world, Elvis Presley, actually had the same issue. He always had stage fright that he said he’d never get over.

What are your plans for the future?
My main focus is making sure my End Bullying message is heard. I hope that I can be a full-time motivational speaker eventually. But I have to wait until the time is right.
