Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Huff.
Hi Briana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to success is never easy the journey is definitely a marathon and not a sprint. There has been multiple times where I have come into roadblocks, most of them have been mainly mentally and of course financially. Since I’ve started my career I noticed what I learned was called “Imposter syndrome” thinking that I wasn’t good enough to compete with other creatives either at my college or just people I see in general on social media because of that there’s been times that I’ve wanted to give up or wasn’t putting myself out there, missing out on different opportunities just because I thought that I wouldn’t be able to perform.
As I grew further, I reflect on the things that I have done. I have learned that I should never compete where there is no comparison because I am my own entity, I am my own light, and I am amazing and I’m different from others because God has created me uniquely and wonderfully. That’s something my granny would always tell me as I was growing up.
And I think it’s important for all creative to know that it does not matter about the numbers, the reactions, or the engagement. It was a video that I saw once that had an analogy that was like you may post something on Instagram and not get a lot of likes, but your story gets a lot of views: meaning people may not show that they like what you’re doing but believe me everyone is watching you & they see you. So just keep grinding and just keep doing you. Sooner or later, it will pay off.
I’m still a small media business, so booking is not always consistent, or I don’t always close every person who comes my way, so I still try & fund my business the best way that I can & camera equipment is nooo where cheap. I would find myself still working three jobs at a time as well as working towards my college degree, so some of the times it was hard to focus solely on my business or still have the energy to keep going.
Despite that, I am proud of my resilience to keep knocking on different doors cause where there is one no, there’s always a yes somewhere along the way.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in media production, mainly event and portrait photography, I have the ability to create & manage social media content, flyers, recap videos, and captivating reels as well as business card templates and more.
So, if you take a look at my work on my social media pages on Instagram, such as 24k.productionss and Gxldenbee, you will see some of my work where I create lively reels & photo collages that resonate with my viewers.
What’s next?
