Hi Brittany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Welp! Becoming a barber was not apart of “my” plan. I actually moved from Joliet, Il to Houston,Tx randomly. After being here for a while I was convinced to attend Houston Barber School. That random move has now turned into one of the best decisions in my life. Currently I serve children with autism who are often turned away by other barbers.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning it was rough, not being from Houston I had to grind harder if you will. I started out being mobile until I got in a shop. You will def found out how far Houston is from Houston being mobile. Building a consistent client base, weeding out the bad apples, shop atmosphere.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Im a barber by trade however I also offer braid and loc services. Id say im known for providing sensory cuts to children. Im most proud of being able to give back. Giving others a way to feel good about themselves. What sets me apart is knowing that this is a gift/talent from God that was given to me to bless others. I treat barbering as such a blessing. I never go to work im walking in my purpose.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would be getting together at my grandma house. The
