Today we’d like to introduce you to Brizza Booker
Hi Brizza, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I officially started modeling in 2022, but my love for fashion and photography goes way back. As a child, I dabbled in modeling but never took it seriously—until I was approached by a wonderful brand owner, Logan, who invited me to model for her brand, Esteli.
At first, I was hesitant. It was a swimwear shoot, and as a curvy 5’2” woman, I wasn’t sure I fit the traditional mold of a model. But once I saw the final photos and videos, I realized how powerful it was to take up space and own my confidence. That shoot opened the door to more opportunities, and soon, other brands and photographers started reaching out.
Modeling has been such a rewarding journey. I love representing women who look like me and inspiring others to embrace their bodies as they are. There’s something incredibly empowering about seeing yourself reflected in fashion, and I’m grateful to be part of that movement.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, my journey as a model has been a positive one, but it hasn’t been without its challenges. While I haven’t faced major obstacles, I’ve noticed how being a curvy model can sometimes be intimidating for certain stylists or photographers who aren’t used to working with different body types. Some assume that styling or capturing a curvier figure is more difficult, which can limit opportunities.
I remember walking in a fashion show where I only wore two looks, while other models had multiple outfits. Moments like that remind me that, as much as the industry has progressed, there’s still work to be done in fully embracing size diversity.
That being said, I love what I do, and I focus on staying true to myself. Being part of this shift in the modeling world is exciting, and I love to represent women who deserve to see themselves reflected in fashion.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a curve model, I specialize in fashion, commercial, and lifestyle modeling, with a focus on body positivity and inclusivity. I’m known for my confidence in front of the camera and my ability to bring personality and authenticity to every shoot. Whether it’s editorial work, runway, or brand campaigns, I love showcasing fashion in a way that empowers women to embrace their bodies at any size.
One of the things I’m most proud of is breaking barriers in an industry that’s still learning to embrace diverse body types. I’ve had the opportunity to work with brands that genuinely celebrate inclusivity, and knowing that my presence in these spaces can inspire other women is incredibly rewarding.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with the audience in an organic way. I’m not just modeling clothes—I’m telling a story, representing real women, and showing that beauty and confidence come in all shapes and sizes. My goal is to continue pushing for greater representation while staying true to myself and my journey.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that might surprise people is that I still get camera shy and sometimes overthink during shoots. While many assume I’m a natural in front of the camera, there are days when it takes me a little longer to get comfortable. Confidence isn’t always instant—it’s something I continuously work on. But pushing through those moments of self-doubt is what makes the end result even more rewarding.
