We’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Lilith’s Way is a boutique concept focusing on the premise that everybody and EVERY BODY deserves to feel sexy. No matter your size, ethnicity, physical challenges, or gender – you are a beautiful person and deserve to feel that way. We merged our Leather and Fetish shop, The Montrose Forge, with the boutique to create a Leather and Lace / Boudoir meets Dungeon aesthetic, allowing people to dip their toes into new and exciting ways to feel sexy. Our top-notch team of sales consultants are knowledgeable in every aspect of our product lines. All of our leather goods are made in-house now, and we are proud to have won several local and international awards recognizing our boutique as a special place to find exactly what you didn’t know you were missing. Named after the mythological first woman, Lilith, who forged her own path in the world, Lilith’s Way is here to help you find your way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As a Trans/Gay and Veteran owned business, there are plenty of obstacles that have presented before us. From difficulty securing loans to developing a loyal customer base, challenges have always been a part of our lives. But we are fighters. COVID-19 dealt us a serious blow as we were determined to keep our staff fully employed throughout the pandemic, even when our doors were shut. We ramped up online sales and began shipping worldwide. When we lost the lease on our original boutique in Montrose in late 2021, we doubled down on our vision to begin making goods in-house. Now, we are carried in boutiques globally – from Dublin to Munich to Sydney to Montreal, and across the USA. But we are proud of how we have handled these challenges and we look forward to the future.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We curate a collection of lingerie, accessories, and leather/fetish gear to help add a bit of sexy and excitement into anyone’s life. We are here to help you feel sexy in your own body. We work with designers across the country to bring new and interesting pieces selected specifically to meet the demands of our unique customers. Our design team works diligently in our studio to create new and interesting pieces to keep the store fresh and exciting. We have even created a range of personal care products made in-house from 100% organic or all-natural ingredients.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Social and ethical responsibility is fundamental to our values at Lilith’s Way. We believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity. As far as our products and services, we believe in providing high-quality pieces at reasonable prices. Many times, we are told that our customers cannot believe how wonderful the products are considering our low prices! We just like to keep it simple.
