Today we’d like to introduce you to Conor Grix.
Hi Conor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a tattoo artist with 4 years of experience from the UK. I travelled to Costa Rica in November 2024 to get a change of scenery, but I didn’t enjoy how slow the pace of life was. So, before going back to the EU, I decided to visit one of my favorite places, Houston, to see some old friends and enjoy city life again.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
After the recent boost in my tattooing career, I moved and although it was a good learning experience, essentially figuring out how to rebuild my business as fast as possible so I could resume doing the thing I love.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Tattoo Artist specialising in blackwork, blackout and script. I aim to steer away from conventional tattoo ideas and try to bring my own twist, fusing graffiti and negative space art into these designs.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I feel like there are so many videos and rumours about AI taking over but I feel like there will always be new trends in tattooing but it will be a industry that will end up prevailing. Tattooing isn’t always perfect and that’s what a lot of clients look for, the human touch in something so permanent. Tattooing has been around for centuries and in the some of the most strangest of places.
