I started my career with a passion for helping people look and feel their best. What began as an interest in hairstyling grew into a profession built on creating quality work and building lasting relationships with my clients.
Over the years, I’ve continued to grow my skills and eventually opened my own business, Hair & Beauty by Dana. My focus has always been on providing personalized service, making every client feel comfortable, and delivering results they leave feeling confident about.
Like any business owner, the journey has come with challenges, but each one has helped me learn, improve, and become more committed to my craft. Today, I’m proud to continue growing my business, welcoming new clients, and doing work that I truly enjoy every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change the journey. Building a business from the ground up has come with its share of challenges, and balancing entrepreneurship with being a wife and a mom has probably been the biggest one. There are long days, unexpected obstacles, and moments of doubt, but those experiences have taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of never giving up.
As a business owner, I wear many hats—from stylist and customer service representative to marketer and bookkeeper. Then I go home and put on my most important roles: wife and mom. Finding that balance isn’t always easy, but my family is my greatest motivation. They inspire me to keep growing, work harder, and lead by example.
Every challenge has shaped me into the business owner and person I am today. Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited for what the future holds. The journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been incredibly rewarding.

I’m the owner and hairstylist behind Hair & Beauty by Dana, where my goal is to help every client look and feel their absolute best. I offer a wide range of hair services, but I’m especially known for precision haircuts, men’s grooming, and creating customized looks that fit each client’s lifestyle and personality. I believe a great haircut or style isn’t just about appearance—it’s about helping someone leave feeling more confident than when they walked in.
What I’m most proud of is the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Many have been with me for years, and they’ve become like family. Earning their trust and knowing they choose to come back time and time again is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
What sets me apart is the experience I provide. I take the time to listen, understand my clients’ needs, and make sure they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they sit in my chair. I never want an appointment to feel rushed. I want every client to leave feeling heard, confident, and excited about their hair. My passion for my craft, attention to detail, and commitment to continually improving are what drive me every day.
For me, success isn’t just about creating great hair—it’s about making a positive impact on people’s confidence and helping them feel like the best version of themselves.

What I love most about our city is the sense of community. It’s a place where people genuinely support local businesses, build lasting relationships, and make you feel like you’re part of something bigger. As a small business owner, I’ve been fortunate to meet so many wonderful people, and I truly appreciate the loyalty and trust my clients have shown me over the years.
If I had to choose one thing I’d like to see improve, it would be creating even more opportunities for small businesses to grow and connect with the community. Local businesses are the heart of a city, and I think continuing to support them through community events, networking opportunities, and local initiatives benefits everyone. Overall, I’m grateful to be part of a city that’s continuing to grow and evolve while still maintaining a welcoming, community focused atmosphere.
