Today we’d like to introduce you to Eniola Fatoye.
Hi Eniola, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started with wanting to create a safe space for people to express themselves a safe haven where thoughts can be shared without judgment and that’s how and why I started Joan’s Talkopedia. As for my other business of being a makeup artist, I started when I was 18years old. Growing up o always like the idea of making people pretty. In a way I find it comforting and totally satisfying to just be able to enhance another individual face, because that’s what makeup is all about, enhancing the beauty that is already there. I love trying out different makeup styles from editorial makeup looks to bridal makeup looks. That’s how I got to the stage I am now.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not always been a smooth journey. There were times when I didn’t have the finances to make products that I need and also when trying new lols there were times when I would totally flop with it. Also, with my talk show, that has not been smooth either because there are times when I doubt myself and doubt my ability to effectively share/create content that people could relate too
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
So I am a talk show host/lifestyle blogger/beauty creative. I specialize in makeup and content creation. I create beauty and lifestyle content. Alongside my talk show, I am known for being a make-up influencer and YouTuber. I am most proud of how far I have come in my journey as a creative even during difficult times. I think what sets me apart from others is the authenticity of my work, my personality is evident in my work and also the fact that I sincerely enjoy what I do. Lol. It’s a passion and honestly, the fame has not been a motivation for me rather the ability of others to relate to my content is what drives me.
What were you like growing up?
Lols… I was a stubborn, very independent child. Rarely ever needed my parents and I could adapt to any situation even when finances were a problem, I could adjust just fine. My interest has always been standing for people and helping people deal with others’ hurtful situations and also,of course, make up.
