Today we’d like to introduce you to Esther Diaz.
Hi Esther, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We are a pair of sisters and best friends; Esther and Xiomara. We have enjoyed creating and turning our kid’s birthday dreams into a reality for years. Our inspiration is our angel Mateo. And they wonder who is Mateo? Well, Mateo is my (Esther’s) son who due to malpractice was born with cerebral palsy, for which he depended on a ventilator and gastrostomy. We enjoyed turning each birthday year into a beautiful memory of in our lives. This grew our passion even more than Xiomara already had for decorating so naturally we decided to embark into the small business world. On March 28 we began taking classes to acquire more knowledge but unfortunately that same day was the day that our angel Mateo passed away. He was our inspiration from the beginning and now more than ever we will continue to honor his name. Our initial name was “Live Dreams” but what better way to carry his name wherever he goes. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been easy to start our journey since money is needed to start and I have not worked since Mateo was born to take care of him. The most difficult thing has been to acquire the necessary materials to be able to provide a quality service to our clients.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Event decoration and planning, our specialty is balloon decorations. We took some courses online and in person. What inspires us to create each unique and unforgettable event is to remember who we do it for, “Mateo.” It’s like creating another birthday for him.
