Today we’d like to introduce you to Helena Paschal.
Hi Helena, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My career started in college when I chose to major in public relations. I became the president of the organization PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America). I helped the organization secure over 32 PR accounts, and I enjoyed building strategic relationships with local business owners. When I graduated college, I started a small PR agency but when I moved from my hometown, I put it aside and focused on the demand for corporate trainers at the time, and I worked on building a professional training development business.
It wasn’t until the pandemic wiped out my business that I started reflecting on what I really loved. I decided to rekindle my passion for public relations and I was bold enough to ask a few friends to hire me to get it off the ground and they agreed. Now, I create and manage personal brands for high performers from executives, consultants, speakers, and authors who want to maximize their online presence.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Struggles as an entrepreneur come as often as the seasons change, but you get used to it. One of the biggest struggles I had was losing everything due to the pandemic. As a trainer, when I wasn’t able to travel to speak due to state restrictions, I lost money and started drowning in debt. With only $43, my daughter, an overnight bag, and a laptop, I moved to Houston and started my life over. With online classes and eBooks, I was able to get back going, and a year later, I created a six-figure personal branding agency.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I can turn a college degree into passive streams of income with a personal brand. I turned my degree into a business, books, and online classes. I build personal brands for experts, consultants, and coaches to position them as authorities in their industry.
My work starts with a LinkedIn makeover to optimize their profile with targeted keywords to increase their visibility to attract their ideal audience.
After I give them a LinkedIn makeover, I create their website, logo, marketing video reel, speaker kit, and any promotional material to pitch them to the media to increase their exposure and build their name recognition.
Once their personal brand is setup, I manage it and book speaking engagements for them and turn their speeches into eBooks and online classes to create passive streams of income for them.
How do you think about happiness?
Peace makes me happy. Peace of mind is highly underrated. Waking up without anxiety or frustration makes me happy. Having peace is a catalyst that helps me make progress.
