Rising Stars: Meet Imene Dahmoun of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Imene Dahmoun.

Hi Imene, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out in the car scene as a model for car meets and shows, simply enjoying the culture and the creative energy. But after facing some personal challenges and conflicts with certain people, I decided to venture out on my own. I continued modeling, but this time with a bigger purpose — I wanted to create a platform that would bring the car community together in a more positive and supportive way.

That’s how FemmeFetaleMedia was born. The name came to me while listening to a song with the same title, but it grew to represent something deeper: a space where models, vendors, and media creatives could not only do their work but also express themselves freely, have fun, and build real friendships. We weren’t just a team — we were a family.

My very first event was a Back-to-School Drive, aimed at helping families who couldn’t afford school supplies. It also gave small business owners a chance to sell and promote their products. The event featured an all-girl crew — including a female DJ, female vendors, and even talented kids running their own small businesses. The car lineup was incredible: everything from exotic to themed builds, including cars that represented Houston’s culture. A good friend even pulled up on a themed motorcycle dressed as Deadpool, which was a huge hit.

I was scared no one would show up, being new to organizing events and not widely known. But the genuine connections I made as a model really helped me put FemmeFetaleMedia on the map. From there, I kept growing. I co-hosted a smoke shop re-opening, a Wash & Chill, Halloween events, and collaborated with other crews and venues for causes like Breast Cancer and PCOS Awareness (our Pink & Blue event) and Trunk-or-Treats for the kids, complete with costumes and candy-filled trunks.

Over time, I also began incorporating live performances. That’s when I met incredible artists like RAZER and Classic Kiki, and invited them to perform at a special event at the Ice House in Conroe with Gas and Gears Magazine. Thanks to Kiki and her family, I was even invited to be a special guest at Johnny Dang’s Jewelry Store for a Halloween event with MediaEyecon, where I got to meet Sauce Walka and Paul Wall.

Soon after, I teamed up with Dylan from an insurance company and Marshall, manager at The Shop Club Houston, to launch our Toy Drive events — two successful runs with live DJs, vendors, performances, and a strong showing from Houston’s car scene.

One of the biggest highlights has been joining NexGen, a national car show group, when they came to Houston. Being part of their team was a dream opportunity that reminded me how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown.

FemmeFetaleMedia isn’t just about events — it’s about creativity, confidence, community, and connection. It’s helped me rediscover my passion for wrapping and tinting cars, something I grew up doing with my father. Today, I proudly wrap my own car and bring that same love into my second business, IDGraphics, which is now affiliated with FemmeFetaleMedia.

On this journey, I’ve also had the blessing of meeting my amazing husband, Jorge, who’s been my number one supporter. From designing flyers to video editing, promoting, and helping at events — he’s been by my side through everything. On the days I wanted to quit, he reminded me why I started and why I shouldn’t stop.

To me, this is just the beginning. I want to keep expanding — through media, graphic design, and continuing to support others who want to turn their passions into something real. FemmeFetaleMedia is more than a name — it’s a movement rooted in community, creativity, and purpose

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road — but every challenge taught me something valuable.

Starting something like FemmeFetaleMedia wasn’t easy, especially doing most of it on my own. I had a vision, but turning it into something real meant wearing a lot of hats. I was not only organizing the events, but also managing communication with vendors, coordinating with DJs and performers, finding venues, reaching out to car crews, designing flyers, promoting across platforms, and trying to secure sponsors — all while trying to stay creative and positive through it all.

There were times I felt overwhelmed or doubted if people would even show up to the events I worked so hard on. Before my first ever event — the Back-to-School Drive — I was honestly scared it would flop because I was new and didn’t have a huge following yet. But with the connections and friendships I made while modeling, I slowly built a support system and a reputation.

There were also emotional struggles — times where personal conflicts made me question if I should keep going. But I chose to turn that pain into fuel and let it push me forward. I’ve had to grow thick skin, learn how to stay patient and focused, and trust the process. The hardest part was balancing it all while still trying to make it fun, meaningful, and true to the original mission: to create something that brings people together and gives others a chance to shine, too.

So no, the road hasn’t been smooth — but every bump along the way has shaped the growth of FemmeFetaleMedia, and I wouldn’t trade the lessons or the journey for anything

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the founder of FemmeFetaleMedia, a media and event platform rooted in car culture, creativity, and community. I specialize in organizing unique car shows and community-centered events that go beyond just showcasing vehicles — my goal has always been to create safe, empowering spaces for models, vendors, creatives, and car enthusiasts to come together, network, and truly enjoy what they do.

What I’m most known for is the way I bring a personal and inclusive touch to every event. Whether it’s a Back-to-School Drive, Toy Drive, Breast Cancer and PCOS Awareness event, or a fun Trunk-or-Treat, I always incorporate a mix of car culture, small businesses, kid-friendly elements, live performances, and a strong media presence. I also put a huge emphasis on spotlighting women — from all-female crews and DJs to young girl entrepreneurs.

I’m most proud of the fact that I built this from the ground up. I didn’t have a team or a big budget starting out — I wore every hat. I planned, promoted, designed flyers, built connections, wrapped my own car, and more. I even launched a second business, IDGraphics, which focuses on vehicle wraps and design, and now runs alongside FemmeFetaleMedia.

What sets me apart is the heart and purpose behind everything I do. This isn’t just about cars or media — it’s about building a movement where people can be creative, be themselves, and feel supported. I want others to grow with me — whether it’s a model getting booked for more gigs, a kidpreneur making their first sale, or a local artist performing for a new crowd. I make sure my events are full of real opportunity, real fun, and real impact.

More than anything, I’m proud that I’ve turned something personal — including struggles and setbacks — into something powerful that connects people and gives them a place to shine.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people think I’m always super confident at events — but I’ve had full-on panic moments in my car like, “What if no one shows up and it’s just me, a DJ, and 50 empty parking spots?” 😅 But hey, somehow it always works out!
