Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a passionate beauty professional whose journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of following one’s dreams. Born in Houston—a city I proudly call home—My lifelong love for beauty and style began long before I even had the chance to study it formally in Mexico. Once I moved to Houston, I seized the opportunity to pursue my passion by enrolling at the Houston Training School in 2018.
My journey, however, was not without its challenges. Family responsibilities and a difficult divorce forced me to temporarily pause my studies. Yet, by 2023, with two daughters to inspire me, I resumed my education with renewed vigor and commitment. This personal triumph was not just about returning to school—it was a powerful statement to myself and my daughters that anything is possible, even in the face of adversity.
Today, I proudly run my own studio, where i build my clientele one happy client at a time. Every hairstyle, makeup session, and beauty service I provide is fueled by my genuine love for what I do. For me, the ultimate reward lies in witnessing the transformation in my clients—the sparkle in their eyes, the boost in their confidence, and the way they embrace their own beauty.
Through my journey, I emerged not only as a skilled beauty professional but also as an inspiring role model. I continue to prove that with perseverance, passion, and the belief that every setback is a setup for a comeback, dreams can indeed become reality.

Challenge : family’s doubts about beauty industry career
Early in my career, i faced skepticism from my family regarding my decision to pursue a career in the beauty industry. They didn’t initially see it as a viable path for long-term success. Despite this i remained passionate about my aspirations and worked tirelessly to prove that the beauty industry could offer both fulfillment and financial stability. Over time, as i built my career, my family began to understand and support my choices.

Retro lab beauty studio is a passion-driven beauty business where i specialize in makeup and hairstyling. My goal is to make every client feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, offering makeup services that range natural looks to full glam. I also love the artistry of hairstyling, finding joy in creating versatile and beautiful styles that bring out the best in each clients hair. For me, my business is more than just a workspace it’s my happy place, and i truly enjoy making my clients feel special and beautiful.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I’m the oldest of five siblings and the only girl, which naturally gave me a sense of leadership from a young age. My love for beauty and fashion has always been a part of me. From painting my neighbors face for Halloween to owning my own beauty business at 29, my passion for the industry has only grown. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for the journey ahead in the world of beauty and self expression.
