Rising Stars: Meet Joc’quese Casel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joc’quese Casel.

Hi Joc’quese, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Pierrestyleclothing (P$C) in 2017 with aspirations of really making my impact through clothing and fashion. P$C is not only a brand but it’s a mindset that’s meant to infuse confidence when you wear my pieces. Everyone is unique and fashionable in their on way, P$C is just here to assist in bringing that out of individuals from all walks of life. I know some people often say that they don’t have any fashion sense but trust me you do and I’m here to be the catalyst for that.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been the smoothest of journeys, lots of highs and lows being a one-man show. However, anything worth having in life is going to challenge you at times but you have to stay the course. I see this as building character and fortitude with my brand in the long run, I’m thankful for everything that’s happened and getting ready to happen.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
So as of now, I’m focused on making the overall shopping experience and quality of my clothing more extraordinary. Some of the proceeds of the impending pieces coming out within the fall and winter will be going towards the Alzheimer’s foundation. I’m accomplishing this through feedback and the help of others because at the end of the day you have to listen to the people, good or bad, knowledge is power. Even listening to their stories and backgrounds as well is very fascinating and inspiring to me, it motivates me to create honestly. This is what sets me apart from the rest is my ability to connect and being open. I believe people can discern genuineness and energy in not only me but in my brand as well, good energy speaks volumes. We live in a world where this can be hard to come by because of ulterior motives or people being strictly money-driven. But it’s much more to life, I just try to keep it authentic and original in my way of course.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
So I used to play Ice-Hockey competitively for a brief stint and it wasn’t as easy as I thought. Your hand-eye coordination has to be top tier nonetheless and that wasn’t it for me. I’m also a big anime fan I’m talking running home after school back in the gap to catch Toonami you know Dragon Ball Z, Ronin Warriors, and Gundam Wing..I think that’s what helped build up my patience is waiting for those next episodes ESPECIALLY with Dragon Ball Z with all of that screaming and talking for almost the entire episode just to have to wait until the next one for the action to happen.

But in all seriousness, I wanted to let the readers know this and hear me when I say this. We all have one of these things called life to live so why not be happy in doing what you truly love, live for you and walk in your true purpose because you’re great and deserving. Thank you Voyage for the opportunity.

I hope everyone stays blessed and safe out there.
