Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Hans.
Hi Joe, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I moved to The Woodlands area over 20 years ago from Chicago, but my roots run deep in Texas history. My family can trace their beginning to the great Kings Ranch in south Texas. So, while I may be from the Midwest, south Texas is in my blood. I started Hans Marketing & Design because of envy to be honest. At the time, I was in a sales position for a local print company. I was attending numerous networking events and noticed that I was meeting entrepreneurs left and right. So, you could say I was bit by the entrepreneur’s bug. As a single dad of two amazing kids, it was a big risk, but without risk, there is no reward. We have grown Hans Marketing & Design to where it is today. We are a small company that wants to give a Fortune 500 look to the local small businesses in the area. The Woodlands is one of the best areas for new business, and we want to “let our Hans help your business GROW!!!”
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like I said earlier, I am a single dad, so it’s not just growing my business but juggling a work/life balance. Also fighting the mindset of other people that there isn’t enough business to go around. The Woodlands area is one of the best places to start a business, so opportunity is everywhere. One of the best things is the networking opportunities in the area. The business relationships I have cultivated have helped us not only grow but thrive in a busy market.

The title of a Marketing company can be very broad. We handle print marketing from business cards, flyers, brochures, signs, and vehicle wraps. Our main focus is digital marketing with social media managers, graphic design, and content creation. Social media has grown to be not only a place to share funny memes but where people are looking for local businesses and services. We want to help small businesses navigate their social media platforms with confidence. We do that in three ways, strategic brand identity, a consistent brand experience, professionalism, and credibility.
What’s next?
The sky is the limit for Hans Marketing & Design; we are looking at bringing on some more employees to join The Hans family this year. Our motto is “Let our Hans help your business GROW.” As we grow, we can’t wait to see how our clients’ businesses continue to grow. We hope to give all small businesses a BIG business look and feel.
