Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla J.
Hi Kayla, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I pride myself on being a multitalented artist. Starting with makeup, I was able to become an entrepreneur and tap into the beauty industry at the age of 16. But I’m more than a makeup artist; one of my many other talents is designing jewelry. It started as something I only did for myself, but I get so many compliments from family and friends. After spending the last year finding my style, I’ve decided it’s time to share another form of art. I will be launching my jewelry in March, so stay tuned.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an artist has it’s ups and downs. There are seasons of uncertainty or lack of inspiration. On the flip side, I can have so many ideas that I don’t execute any of them. However, getting deeper into my faith and spirituality has strengthened my relationship with self. I’ve sharpened my intuition to the point that I can only do what feels right to me. I know that expressing myself artistically and uplifting others is my soul purpose. Any way that I can do that is a step in the right direction. Having a supportive partner who sees my vision is a blessing as well.

Everything I create is made with passion and love. When you support my brand(s), you support me as a person.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you. I don’t believe in “luck,” but rather blessings. Faith plays a huge role in my entrepreneurial journey because God is the center of almost everything that I do. Opportunities that are meant for me will always be blessed.
