Rising Stars: Meet Kimberly Powell

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Kimberly Powell again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Kimberly, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My name is Kimberly Powell, I’m the amazing Event Curator of Party Possible Rentals, where I take the stress away from my clients and turn their vision into a beautiful experience through event decor, I’m also the founder of three Women empowerment Facebook groups ENOFF, PMS and WOW, my first memoir 2,426 Days (overcoming the chains of a toxic marriage) comes out late July or early August 2025. I’m also the proud mother of a son, twin girls, and a loving grandmother. Recently divorced, I’ve discovered a newfound strength and clarity that has fueled my personal and professional growth. It’s been one of the best things that could have happened to me, giving me the freedom to rediscover who I am and pursue my passions wholeheartedly.

Party Possible is all about making celebrations easy, elegant, and memorable. What sets my brand apart is the attention to detail, creativity, and the personal touch I bring to every event. Whether it’s a lavish baby shower, an intimate birthday celebration, or anything in between, I’m all about transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences.

I also believe in the power of customization—every event reflects the personality and story of the client. On top of that, I make it a priority to build genuine relationships with my clients, so they feel cared for and valued every step of the way.

My journey has been filled with ups and downs, but every step has brought me closer to where I’m meant to be. I started Party Possible out of a love for creativity and the joy that comes with making someone’s vision come to life. Over time, I built my reputation through hard work, consistency, and word-of-mouth referrals.

One pivotal moment in my journey was my divorce. While it was a challenging decision, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It allowed me to focus on my personal growth and fully invest in my business. Letting go of the weight of a toxic relationship opened doors I didn’t even know were there. I’ve poured that energy into building a brand that not only celebrates life’s milestones but also empowers me to live authentically.

Another highlight has been publishing my book, 2,426 Days, where I share my story of overcoming a toxic marriage. This has allowed me to connect with other women in profound ways and remind them that they are capable of thriving no matter their circumstances.

Hosting events and conferences has also been a game-changer for me. Being able to combine my love for public speaking, motivating others, and creating memorable experiences has been the ultimate fulfillment.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Thank you so much for having me back! It’s always such a pleasure to share my journey and connect with your audience. A lot has happened since we last spoke, and I’m excited to dive in!

What I’ve Been Up To
The last few months have been such a whirlwind, full of growth and new beginnings. First and foremost, my event decor business, Party Possible, has been thriving, I have two new team members who are amazing and we are looking to expand! I’ve been booking larger-scale events, which has pushed me creatively and given me a chance to really elevate my designs.

On a personal note, I’ve been focusing on rediscovering myself after my divorce, which I’m proud to say has been the best thing for me and my business. Letting go of that chapter has given me so much clarity and freedom. I feel stronger, more confident, and more intentional about the life I’m building.

The Good, The Bad, and The Exciting

The challenges have been real, though. Balancing my full-time job with my business, personal growth, and starting over. There are days when I feel pulled in a million directions. But I’ve learned to give myself grace, set boundaries, and prioritize self-care, which has made all the difference.

The most exciting thing on the horizon is my upcoming conference! It’s a three-hour event where I’ll combine my passion for decor, speaking, and empowering women. The idea of hosting something that brings all my strengths together is so exciting. I’m also focusing on growing my media presence to reach more women and inspire them through my story.

What I’m Looking Forward To
I’m really excited about the possibilities this year holds. From hosting conferences to expanding Party Possible and continuing to motivate women, I feel like I’m just getting started. I’m also looking forward to continuing to build connections with other women who are navigating their own journeys, whether they’re starting over, celebrating milestones, or finding their voice again.

My ultimate goal is to transition into doing what I love full-time—motivating women, hosting events, and making life’s celebrations possible for others. It’s a journey, but I’m embracing every step along the way.

Thank you again for the opportunity to share my story. I can’t wait to see where this path takes me next!
