Rising Stars: Meet Krystle Dance of PG. County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystle Dance

Hi Krystle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started as a self taught makeup artist. I’ve always had a passion for drawing & creating art that naturally turned into enhancing beauty. At the age of 23 I was diagnosed with cancer & I thought it was all over me. But God had something better in-store for me. Throughout my treatments I worked at MAC for several years. After being let go I then became a full time freelance makeup artist where I truly learned to manifest & grow my business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the beginning I was very nervous. But it was my greatest motivation to go further than ever, and that I did. Becoming a freelance makeup artist taught me lots of discipline & elevation.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a self taught makeup artist and I specialize in special effects, avant garde, and glam makeup. I’m known for my dramatic creative & bold looks. One thing about me I’ve never been afraid to step outside the box. I do what makes my client feel good & bring to life the vision of what is being asked for.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My loyal clients, friends & strangers were my greatest supporters as well as the celebrity clients that I had built work relationships with. They kept on believing in me when I sometimes doubted myself due to my pre existing health conditions.
