Today we’re excited to be connecting with Lakisha Mosley again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Lakisha, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
I’m LaKisha Mosley, a mental health advocate, event curator, and entrepreneur dedicated to helping women business owners prioritize their mental well-being while building sustainable success. Through my brand, Mind Your Business, I create safe spaces and resources that support women entrepreneurs navigating the challenges of business and mental health.
What makes Mind Your Business unique is our holistic approach—bridging mental health, business strategy, and community. I know firsthand the struggles of balancing entrepreneurship and mental wellness, and I’ve built a brand that speaks directly to women like me, providing them with support, strategies, and real conversations that don’t just acknowledge mental health but actively integrate it into business success.
My journey began with my personal experience of navigating entrepreneurship while managing my own mental health. After becoming a certified mental health coach and advocate, I realized the deep need for more spaces where women could talk openly about their struggles without fear of stigma. That led me to launch Mind Your Business, grow a thriving community, and create impactful events and resources that provide real solutions. Some of my proudest moments include launching my digital product line, hosting powerful mental health events, and collaborating with organizations that believe in this mission.
At the core of it all, I believe that success should never come at the cost of our well-being, and my mission is to show women entrepreneurs that they don’t have to choose between the two—they can have both.
Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Things have been moving fast, and I’m incredibly excited about where Mind Your Business is headed. Right now, I’m in a season of growth and expansion—both personally and professionally.
One of the biggest milestones has been launching the Mind Your Business Mental Wellness Community, a safe space specifically for women entrepreneurs navigating mental health challenges while building their businesses. Seeing women come together, support each other, and actively implement self-care strategies has been both rewarding and affirming. We recently introduced structured themed months, which allow us to dive deeper into topics like goal setting, self-care, and productivity while keeping the community engaged in a meaningful way.
On the event side, I’m gearing up for My Mind is My Business 2025, our annual mental health awareness conference in May. It’s a major opportunity to bring together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and mental health professionals for real, honest conversations about what it takes to thrive in business and life. The planning process has been both exhilarating and challenging—balancing the logistics while making sure we create an experience that feels impactful and transformative.
Beyond that, I’m also expanding my digital product offerings, refining my coaching and consulting services, and preparing to pitch Mind Your Business as a wellness solution for companies looking to better support their employees’ mental well-being. The corporate side is a new and exciting venture for me, and I see so much potential in bridging the gap between entrepreneurship and workplace mental health initiatives.
Of course, with growth comes challenges. Managing multiple projects, maintaining my own self-care, and navigating the ever-changing landscape of social media and digital marketing keep me on my toes. But I truly believe in the work I’m doing, and that makes even the tough moments worth it.
What excites me the most right now is the potential impact. The conversations around mental health and entrepreneurship are evolving, and I’m grateful to be a voice in this space, advocating for real change. I’m looking forward to scaling Mind Your Business into something even bigger—more resources, more events, and more ways to serve women entrepreneurs on this journey.
The best part? I know this is just the beginning.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
I want people to remember that Mind Your Business isn’t just a brand—it’s a movement. It’s a safe space for women entrepreneurs who are navigating the complexities of business and mental health, a reminder that success should never come at the expense of well-being.
What’s most important to me is that women feel seen and supported—that they know they’re not alone in their struggles and that their mental health matters just as much as their business goals. I want Mind Your Business to be known for real conversations, actionable support, and a community that genuinely cares.
What makes this brand special is the intersection of mental health and entrepreneurship, approached with authenticity, compassion, and strategy. There are plenty of business coaches and mental health advocates, but few are truly addressing the unique challenges that women entrepreneurs face—the pressure to always be on, the fear of failing while struggling internally, and the guilt of prioritizing self-care.
I want my legacy to be one that shifts the narrative around mental health in business—where self-care isn’t an afterthought but a core part of success. I want people to remember that I showed up as my full, honest self, leading by example and creating a space where others felt safe to do the same.
At the end of the day, Mind Your Business isn’t just about surviving the ups and downs of entrepreneurship—it’s about flourishing in a way that feels right, sustainable, and deeply fulfilling.
